the thread about nothing...

Research has EV efficiency and effectiveness being affected by cold weather.

“It is not breaking news that EVs struggle some during cold weather. I wrote in Forbes two years ago that, ‘During colder temperatures, EV batteries do not charge as fast, are less efficient, and will be more affected by electric functions within the car like heating, regenerative braking or seat warming.’”

“When the temperature is cold, charging capacity and EV range are affected. Anyone who buys an EV and does not understand this did not do their homework. By the way, your cellphone probably suffers, too, in cold weather.”

I used that article because it tries to point out the counter argument/positives of EVs in cold weather, but the argument is mainly isolated to topographical reasons or abnormally warm winter patterns which aren’t dependable factors in most cold weather places.
Well There It Is Jurassic Park GIF

Did not realize that. I stand corrected.

Had an EV since November. I drive more now than I ever did, based off my electricity bill I've paid a grand total of $46 to charge my car these last few months. Handles better in the snow than my malibu. Only thing killing me is the tags but I would have gotten hit over the head with registration fees for any 2025 vehicle.

Depending on the wall space, i’d bump that up to 65”. Feel like the price difference between a 50” and a 65” is very small, almost negligible. Peep costco (if you have a membership) or slickdeals for current deals.

Also, never go Vizio. I bought mine probably like 5 or 6 years ago and have hated every second of it. Hella bloatware, crappy remote lay out and sometimes unresponsive, terrible customer service, and the worst TV updates. Many times ive wanted to throw my remote at the tv but im too lazy to have to unmount this PoS and install a new one. Samsung and LG seem to be the best bets
Good looks. I was thinking Samsung because Lg prices are kinda high

Do folks know how much pressure that would be on the person standing if the dunker was pushing off? Your going against body weight and gravity, not to mention the person standing has to be strong enough to give the jumper enough leverage for the technique to be effective.

I sweater gawd if someone says your weightless in the air....its too late for America.

i couldn't do this man, especially passing the dead bodies. crazy how they don't get em down ..

I know a guy who got to about an hour from the top and then turned round. People kept saying that he must be so disappointed. “A little, but then I’d be dead!”

A lot of folks don’t have that level of awareness and keep pushing. They don’t call it The Death Zone for nothin’.

there's an attorney where i work who has a pic at the summit in his office. he said it's the most exhausting thing he's ever done, he also said he thought he was gonna die

For the “I believe things-happen-for-a-reason” folks, how would you respond to somebody that gets killed by a driver under the influence, or overdoses… ,

Seems like things only happen for a reason if they’re good.

I heard somebody say that in my life recently which is why I’m just asking.

As a religious man, I do subscribe to and share the idea of what God has for you is for you.

I can't always explain why it's happening. Especially when it's not directly related to my life.

My mom suffered a massive stroke in October. She's still with us and is conscious but she has lost all functioning. I have my ideas as to what this situation is supposed to impart on me and just hope all things work out as they should.

In general, people make that claim just to fake give meaning to tragedy. It's not like the person MAKING the statement has an inside track of the Universe's Writing Room.

It's an ignorant thing to say IMO.

“I feel like I’m here for a reason”, “I feel like we were brought together for a reason” or “soulmates”

Ehhh. If you met your wife/husband in a bar or somewhere random you hit the random lottery.
