While I understand the hustle, I hate resellers at the same time. The greedy asf ones, let me be more specific. Bro I found a dude on eBay with some heat! He had around 8-12 pairs I’ve been looking for again, we’re both in the same city, so I’m like hey bro is it possible for me to get better pricing and pickup local and we do 2 pair at a time so you feel comfortable. Not only would he not offer local pickup still even with me saying meet at a police station , but he wouldn’t even budge with pricing.

I got over that feeling and it becomes easy the more you deal with such transactions. even a done deal that never materialized is quite upsetting especially if you have been looking for such since forever.

I do the same on eBay when buying video games. I look for the ones closest to me and make offers to pick them up since I know they’d rather not be bothered going to the post office to ship. It works for me and them.

All this eBay talk reminds me of the time when my older brother was selling some Yeezy's to some random dude & they were to meet up in our neighborhood. This was I believe about 5 years ago & my older brother had an extra pair on hand which he wanted to flip to make a quick buck. I told my brother don't go at it alone(you can never be too safe) so it was me, him & our younger brother. Just thinking of this **** has me rolling. So at the time of the meet up I was at work & the location of the meet up was at my work building. Also, my younger brother was working at Chase bank at that time so he knows his $...this will be important later in the story.

So the 3 of us are outside waiting on dude to pull up. A heavily tinted BMW pulls up with a PA license plate. I'm a maintenance man & at work so I'm going on about my task sweeping around the front lawn area of my work building but keeping a close eye on my brothers & dude who are not that far away from where I'm at. I see him pulling out his cash & hands it to my older brother. Literally as he's counting the cash my younger brother says "hol up, lemme see them bills real quick". The banker in him noticed the fake $ right away. He counts all the bills & a few singles were the only real bills in the stack . My younger brother a bit mad looks at dude & tells em tf is this all about homie? You tryna pass fake $. Guy goes nah this is what the ATM gave me & they're guaranteed real bills . My younger brother also had the marker all them banks be using to verify real bills from the fake ones where the ink turns a certain color & lo & behold the color was like a purple-ish red when he marked the bills verifying the money was fake as Santa Claus.

So now there's a back & forth going on & right away I rush over to where my brothers are at. My younger one gets in dudes face & tells em he's going to f him up for tryna pull a fast one . I wanted to add fuel to the fire but I was in uniform & on the clock with tenants around who are now staring in our direction because my brother is really being loud & in the dude's face so besides chill out & let it go I couldn't say much else & I was pushing my brother away from him. Dude walks back to his car & says "Imma be back with real cash" lmao & obviously never showed up again. Before getting into the car my younger one told em don't come back in this neighborhood *****

I used to do a lot of meetups for car parts back in the mid to late 2000’s. Never had any issues. Now, I would never. Not even at a police station. Who’s to say they won’t follow you back home or something? I get hit up on ebay to do meetups. Nope!

I feel you on that, it’s a possible. I just think that if anything were to pop off eBay has all the info. It’s not solid proof of safety but it helps me feel slightly safer.

I hear ya. It's a very different world from what it was 10-15 years ago. The fear of potentially being followed home is the BIG ONE. You can never know if the person has one of his boys parked a block or two down & quickly sends someone a text to tailgate you after you part ways. My older brother(again) wanted to sell someone "coming from Jersey" a wheel at 2:30AM! His wife told em nope, not happening. She said "good folks don't go car part shopping at 2:30AM" & that too giving the guy the address where you live. I told my bro at 2:30AM you're on your own, no brothers to watch your back & no magic marker either cuz my *** will be fast asleep, lol.
