the thread about nothing...

Architecture and planning is so interesting.

Like a bridge saving you time on an otherwise 30 minute longer commute. Spread that to 1000 people. Than spread that across the year. That's like 182,500 hours cumulative time saved. That increases productivity in a country, that decreases car pollution, gas usage, increases sleep, etc.

The way a neighborhood is built can increase community interaction or isolation. Or green-friendly transportation like bicycling.

This is just a guess but non-family friendly skyscraper apartments becoming a more typical living space for young graduates probably made it less likely to want to have kids at young ages.

Certain bridges have become hotspots for suicide.

The way office cubicles are built are different when companies want to promote different types of behavior.

I got another t-shirt of a rap legend recently, Ice Cube to be specific.

I like how this one paid tribute to his role as Doughboy in Boyz N The Hood.

You might find the book "the Timeless way of building" very interesting. It's basically architectural theory/philosophy

Isn’t it annoying when someone turns what should be a two minute story into a ten minute story?
It is. Seen people do it with articles, youtube videos which are like clickbait. Seen people do it in each convo and everything I cut the off and ask their point. If they still ramble with nonsense, I'm headed straight out of the door. I got no patience when it comes to that.

Somehow avoided a bad car wreck. This old Asian man in a Corolla driving like 35-40 onto oncoming traffic. This is two lane road each side of an overpass. He just kept driving down through us. There was a car in front of me (also cars behind) so I couldn't see him coming until he zipped through us. Luckily we were all able to stop without collision but the guy kept driving idk if he realized he was driving the wrong way or kept driving and crashed other cars or what. Probably should've looked back/made U-turn and see what happened, everybody drove like nothing happened.

My sisters baby daddy is like that. I avoid having any convos with that dude
Lmao I don't blame you. People who're talkers like I mean like those that can talk up a storm...you gotta avoid em like the plague that they are. Exchanging pleasantries & choppin it up bout this & that is one thing but when your reply to my "hey how you doin?" Is to tell me literally everything that has happened to you in the past day or two for minutes at a time...nah I'm good. In NYC & I'm sure a place as packed & hectic as Cali too a "how are ya?" "Wassup" or "How you livin?" Is a simple 3 second exchange between 2 people & that is it! You keep it moving lol. Like don't stand there telling me your life story & expect me to stay put & listen to your ****

One of my friends tends to do this because he can't do two things at once. We'll be playing Xbox and he'll constantly pause a story because he's getting into a gun fight :smh::lol:
Guy’s an industrial engineer in a leadership position at his job but somehow can’t shoot and tell a story at the same time
