the thread about nothing...

Thank you for posting this. It was an interesting watch. Insane how much focus their is on function & detail behind their knives. Takes a lifetime to learn the art in it's entirety. The aesthetics are beautiful as well. I need me one now lol. Never knew you could slice a tomato so damn thin. I have a Damascus steel knife I bought as a souvenir when I went to Alaska a few years ago. Going to take some pics of it & other items to post later.
have been watching the lore behind the Damascus steel for years. did people actually rediscovered the secret on how it is really made or it's just close to it? I remember watching a documentary about it a few years ago on how the secret was lost. all of a sudden, everyone seems to claim to know how to make them now. looking at the shimmer of the japanese blade, it kinda resembles the characteristics of the Damascus blade. which brings me to doubt that these modern day Damascus blades actually undergone the process of authentic Persian blade making but rather undergone the Japanese method.

Oh wow, again?! I thought for sure you’d get that position you were aiming at. Their loss man.
Yeah I guess he had a meeting this morning with the GM and the GM told me he just quit, so now there's a opening for one of the assistant manager spots.

I mistyped the first quote. Gonna apply and ask for the job once it's available online.

No disrespect but what about it makes you feel it is overthinking?
I kinda get where shes coming from, if theres a fire she can get out easily, but what if the fire is on the first floor? She gonna jump? Probably break some bones or wait for the ladder like she would’ve had to do on higher floor? Its like saying you dont fly because the plane might crash. Sometimes women let their imaginations get run away from them and start taking precautions for the least likely of scenarios.

I hear you but they don't have the luxury of using probability when it comes to feeling safe. (Like we do)

Please clarify, because I know you’re not saying what I think you’re saying. I totally understand a woman having to protect themselves from other people but to sit around and think of precautions in the case of freak accidents and act of nature are a waste of energy. Some things are just not in you control.

I'm simply saying they want to FEEL safe.

When people want to FEEL safe, it CAN appear they are overreacting/doing to much by outsiders that aren't in their shoes.

But, honestly I think we are talking about two different things.

I am speaking of the tone of the thread in general, which talks a lot about women trying to avoid being sexually assaulted."

I think you are solely speaking on the initial post.

That the impression the first sentence gave, but her example threw me off. Actually, I realize I just I misread it. I thought she said she doesn’t stay on the second floor or higher. Now I REALLY don’t understand how that would make her feel safer from sexual assault.

Lots of women don't feel safe on ground floors because too many random people have access to IT.

This goes from living on the ground/sub-ground floors of apartments as well.

Pain……. OG Atmos AM1s. Were my favorite kicks that turned to beaters for running errands. Might try to have them restored unless they get retro’d again.

it's not just women and I don't like when some twitter posers make a narrative that this is a gender thing. when it comes to general safety, everyone I believe is in agreement that they don't want to live in an area where there is a high crime rate.
