Current employer offering me a new position (in addition to my current position) for a whopping 10% increase in pay.

25 additional duties mind you - none of which can be performed without a certification which I already have from previous employment doing the same exact job they want me to take on now.

Currently in salary negotiations.

They already hit me with "Remember, this will look good on your resume".

What are you trying to get (If you don't mind my asking)? Like if you're making 50k already is 55k worth 25 more duties? Are the offering u additional benefits n ****?

Might one day Google Translate could translate some hip hop albums because some great story tellers, we had one who no longer raps, a lot of themes, which is quite old school now from what I know
I enjoy songs without themes too but sometimes if it got one with some good lines in it...

Nah I don't mind...

25% is what I asked for.

One percent per additional duty is fair...especially since I still gotta do all my usual duties too.

They know damn well they cant hire someone off the street to do the job for 25% of my salary, much less 10%.

I understand capitalism and all so its no surprise companies want cheap labor but the BS ways they try to justify it makes as much sense as taking "Dinner with Jay-Z" (birds in the bush) over $500k (birds in your hand).

Makes zero sense.

I almost lost it when they told me how good my resume would look if I took the job at 10%.

Now the risk is turning them down flat - they wont like that at all and I might end up with no job.

I guess this is where all that "know your worth" is shown and proven. SMH.

Really curious to how many of my civilian Federal Co-Workers are going to quit their jobs now that Joe made the vaccine mandatory for all Federal Workers. They were talking all of that MuH RiGhTs ****, and they laughed at me(Active Duty Military) because it was made mandatory for us, which I was good long before that, but prior to this, they were like “I’d rather quit than to have to get vaccinated against a virus that Fauci invented” there’s going to be some job openings soon…….
