Glad I decided to publicly share my opioid abuse struggles with all my coworkers. Amy was the first person I ever told about it several months ago so she already knew.

I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
The current withdrawal process is pretty awful but literally each and every single coworker wrote a public or private lengthy response wishing me the best, commending me, …
Even the vice-chairwoman is now privately checking up on me every day.

I guess this kind of general response is only natural given that we’re a mental health organization but still, I didn’t expect this degree of support.
I really couldn’t have asked for a better work environment. If this is not a utopia, it sure is close to one.

Picked her up. Went to go get some food (burger and fries) super casual. Talked for about an hour then went to the movies.
Lol movies are a terrible place for first dates.
we didn’t talk once the movie started and it was a late movie so she was yawning the whole time
On another note, fast and furious movie wasn’t too bad lol

I don’t think going to the movies is necessarily a bad date but it can’t just be the movies. Gotta make sure you plan some activity before or after (food, bar, …) where you can actually get a proper conversation going.
