Lol. I remember viewing the releases in 2006 in particular and seeing Jordan 4 “mars” and thinking to myself I NEED to get these. Love the 4s in that color way.

some stores used to ask you to buy some to get the shoes early

Yep, that was the first time I wasn't too crazy over an original shoe that MJ wore on the court, but I had to have those Ginger XVIs and True Blue IIIs lol. The first fleet of Team Jordan really opened up the floodgates with those classic PEs. When Jordan Brand started sending out those postcards and magazines through the mail, I felt like a "member" for a minute
