If a company ever tells you that they’re a family, immediate red flag. Do not work there.

Times like this is exactly why I save at least 40 hours at the end of the year. Come week after next I am gone for the year, take something out to drive around and chill in. Mofo been at work "working" from home we was still being called in to work.really dont wanna be working today famb

People be looking at me funny when i tell them i dont like working. Not to say that i dont enjoy my job or i dont work hard, i just dont want to work if i dont have to.
a lot of people tell me their job gives them purpose in life. Idgaf about any of that tbh
i just want money. Once i save enough, im taking a decade off
That feeling when you got cash in the bank and nobody can tell you **** is one of the most satisfying feeling in this world. So much truth here. I really don’t get it - to me it’s servitude (by choice). I would much rather find purpose through things i also have a passion in rather than purpose defined by rules and work structure.
Age 24-29 i loved life. had a full time job that was only 5 hours a day. Started doing my masters since i knew that wasn’t a “career”. Was broke. Debt > Assets.
Age 30-40: Where i’m at now. Working so much. Average about 45-60 hours a week. Started this decade off in an accounting role and have happily transitioned to a deals manager at a tech company role. But i know it’s worth it so that I can eventually not do this frenetic work only lifestyle. I’m halfway through just turned 35. Have finally paid off every debt except student loans. But now have saved enough that assets > remaining debt. The next 4 years is all money in the green. Hoping to get to 500k saved up.
40+ straight gonna be chillin and enjoying life. May work here and there hopefully at companies or gigs i have passion in (animals, education, hoops).

Nah, cuz it still ain't wide enough due to the max contract limit.do y'all think we will ever talk about the wealth/pay inequality or how much that gap grew between the star NBA players and the 10th-15th player? srs.

LBJ is def worth more than 44 million to the Lakers per year vs their worst player at the end of the bench. But that's about as large as the gap will ever get.
