The people pretending to help were pretty useless, even the bible thumper. Besides having a body cam, the bible thumper's efforts were futile. Yelling at people to call 911, really? It looked like at one point he tried to grab the kid with the NASA hoody, but only had one hand free and the other holding his bible. He would've had a better chance if he set the bible down somewhere. The woman made a mistake turning her head at around the 0:58 mark when she was tussling with the kid. She probably couldn't match him physically anyway but it just made it worse. There were enough men to contain the thieves but they probably didn't want to get involved in case the thieves had weapons.
