I've stayed up late all week yet have been to work on time (I'm not one to be late...not something I take lightly). Last night I actually go to bed with enough time to get 6 hours of sleep and I ******* miss my alarm due to the fact that my phone was speaker side down on carpet.

I'm a little pissed.

A man I know, let's call him Carl. Carl was courting this woman for six months, who I will call Julie. Carl runs a business and performed 30k worth of services for Julie's sister successfully. Julie met Carl's parents and everything seemed on the up and up, at least from Carl's perspective. Then a month later Carl was supposed to travel with Julie and meet her parents who are in another state. The week of the trip, Julie was very wishy washy in communication and was taking much longer than usual to respond. She was the one who booked the flight and hotel but was acting funny by ignoring him for an entire day when he requested the ticket and details. Eventually he got a response a day and a half later. So they fly to the vacation spot and that's when Julie broke the news to Carl that her parents do not approve of him. Did Carl get finnessed? I think that he got used and played, but don't want to tell him in a way that makes him feel foolish or naive.

No, he offered to do it at no cost. I probably should've worded that part better to be more clear.

This isn't something that happens frequently....or ever in fact.

There was one time my phone died overnight and the alarm obviously didn't go off but outside of those two experiences I don't have an issue using my phone as an alarm.

If he paid the whole thing, yea, he got played. Just recap the whole ordeal so he can hear it out loud. Sometimes once you hear someone else say something brings clarity. He probably already knows, though.

Don't know he didn't say. But either way, I think Julie's parents should've at least had the decency to meet him since he traveled so far to meet them. They could swerve him later.
