the thread about nothing...

B/C cancer isn't a singular disease, nor is heart disease. These aren't static ailments either. How would we ever even cure some diseases? Especially those arising from lifestyle decisions? Or an autoimmune disease where your own body is attacking healthy tissue?

Space travel is however static. There are laws of physics that don't change. Believe it or not matters of the body are more nuanced than even space travel. It's not as linear as you'd believe.

Fact is, there isn't enough funding. You want change? Then vote for politicians that want change, not those who want to slow STEM cell research and the like. The big issue is that Americans and the politicians they vote for are woefully scientifically illiterate.
Ok but the thing is they already have cures for all kinds of disease if they can take ur leg put it on another person etc etc the body line is that even if they have the cures the votes politicians etc THEY will never give it to the low class populations or until they find a new desies they can make money from THEY NEED people to die if not this world be over crowded etc etc ITS all about money ... why u think they never stop drugs from coming in they made drug government etc why u think there’s prisons and cops ??? Cuz with out drugs no money for jails or cops it’s all a big circle that has to to with POWER MONEY

I don’t really prescribe to conspiracy theories. Withholding cures would require that a network of people, in varying sectors all maintain the highest level of secrecy and there are just far too many moving parts.

You’re suggesting that scientists, doctors, politicians and even patients who have participated in trials are all keeping mum.

That’s a bit much for me to buy and I myself am an outspoken critic of our healthcare system and big pharma.

Our single biggest weapon in this fight is indeed scientific literacy. When you have entire voting constituencies nearly being unanimously ignorant in regards to the initiatives and funding needed for research and advancement then we’re just going to remain stagnant.

We have scientists who can potentially cure AGING and all the comorbidities that come with it, yet nobody, is funding them.

For the first time ever, Nike has released how much an average employee makes thanks to a new regulation that requires disclosure of the ratio of CEO pay to the median employee.

As reported in Nike's recent Q4 earnings report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for Fall/Winter 2018, the brand identified the median employee at the Swoosh as a retail store worker that earns $24,955 annually. For comparison, Nike CEO Mark Parker's reported earnings for 2018 were $9,467,460, or roughly 379 times higher than the company average.

The report goes on to further state that of the employees included in the pay ratio, approximately 66 percent were full-time, 57 percent worked in retail, and 54 percent were located in the United States.

This news follows up word yesterday that Nike would be giving a raise to roughly 10 percent of its employees following widely publicized issues within the company of pay disparity and inappropriate behavior from certain individuals towards female workers.

Anyone interested in digging into Nike's lengthy Q4 earnings report for themselves can check it out in its entirety here.

Im writing a character letter to a judge for a close friend. Will this show up on my record/ anywhere else for employers or schools to see? He went in for something pretty bad

TAN,

“It’s not enough to be busy, so are the ants. The question is, what are we busy about?”

Knocking out a hundred tasks for whatever the reason is a poor substitute for doing even one task that’s meaningful.

I think the report would be way more interesting if they excluded retail stores.

Retail employees are paid like crap. This is not news.

This is from sole collleector not financial times or Bloomberg reports. But i disagree this hi-lights Pay disparity/ wealth gap in America. I never worked for Nike retail but I worked in retail form Best Buy to at&t back in my college days. I'm not saying retail associate should be paid "bag" load of money but the should have liveable wages where they can actually afford the necessities of life.

it's capitalistic society we live in the rich get richer and poor stay even more poor.

I kind really love this picture. Facing his very own identity that he has abdokutabs no understanding of. AKA every black person in America.

I'm american Nigerian and Your definitely right about that. I told this young black boy which West African country he is from cause he kept doing the wakanda forever cross hand thing, he's like nah I'm from "Louisiana" im American, I'm like yeah ok but you still African he kept saying no he ain't African, I'm like you have be African cause of your african features so i assuemed he was from some west African country or his parents where.

I told him if he did a genealogy test he can actually find out his origins trace back to specific African country but he had juvenile thoughts to denounce he wasn't African.

We gotta do better educating our people.

Shorty is a crackhead. It's the media who and Her PR people trying to spin the narrative, they had to use NARCAN to bring her back to life. Google what NARCAN is so you can learn something today.

Without it should would have died, I hope she gets better but really do hope I don't get another headline story saying "Demi lavato Found dead from another OD"
Once you start doing heroine ain't no going back.

I'm aware of what narcan is.

Why does the media give her the benefit of the doubt?
Is it cause she's a female? Is it because she's "white" (I know she's Latina but she could certainly pass as white).

I was in a public bathroom yesterday and the guy in front of me, rather than dropping the front of his swim shorts (like I do), rolled up one of the legs and peed from there.

Was that a humble brag or is that a common thing that I’ve never seen before?

That's the media. It's a cash cow filled with people willing to take a "bag" to change any narrative or headline they see fit for a celebrity.

You answered your own question, regardless of her situation it's still tarnished. I'm sure Skechers or any other brand will soon severe any business they have with her. You got little girls looking up to her, ain't nobody gonna want to associate thier brand with person who has substance abuse problems.
