the thread about nothing...

Well I think it is redundant in the sense that chances are you will not wear all of them and you get minimal wear out of the ones you like most in fear of ruining them. I collect money nowadays that's it.
Lol...collecting money is just as unfulfilling. May even be more so.

Collect momeries, bruhh...collect fun...if that fun is in shoes then do you.

Sounds like your issue is less the "collecting" of shoes and more so the neglect of shoes purchased. It's the same as the guy with 7 cars.

I never thought about it as "collecting" sneakers
None of my shoes are on any type of display.

It was always more like I have a big *** rotation of shoes lol. I don't own a single pair of ds shoes.

I don't "collect" anything

Btw I see no problem with people collecting sneakers or anything. I think it's cool actually.

Financial security is fulfilling to me.
Its definitely a necessity to your current lifestyle though I wonder if you had a life that did not require large sums of money going in and out every month if you would still be as fulfilled.

I'm all for stacking cash but I work for a large company. I'd be lying if I said what I did to earn my money actually made me feel whole. It doesn't. It's handling one need an causing other problems.

I guess that's the age old question does money buy you happiness? From my point of view, if we are talking about genuine happiness...no. But having a sense of freedom to do what I want does make me happy and money can usually help me obtain that.

But what if you could get that same freedom with a change in lifestyle and desires? Similar to no longer desiring a collection of shoes?

Sorry I do not understand... Change in lifestyle? I don't live any kind of extravagant life. I do pretty well for my age to where I do not have to worry about bills for the most part. My hobbies are NT, youtube, and sportsbetting if you consider those hobbies. Outside of that I only spend on necessities.

But I think I know what you might be getting at. If I do not have to work to pay the bills and I can retire early that will make me happy if that answers your question.

I use to collect music Cd’s but I tend to lose them cause I was constantly moving.
My dad had the killer Cd but he had them shipped to Nigeria.

I only collected the special edition copies if I can get my hands on one.

I'm talking drastic live off of the earth type of change.

I think I edited my post and added the second paragraph before you got to it. But that is hard to say, I do not think I will be in in that hypothetical situation to know what to think.

Cracked my iPhone 6, so I'm considering buying the X. Really waiting till there is some type of deal or special offer.

just cause you don't display them doesn't mean it's not a collection
the process of you looking for sneakers to buy to add to your rotation is the definition of collecting
