the thread about nothing...

Absolutely killed the Skype interview for the cruise line! Now I'm waiting on the hotel I interviewed with to hit me back for the second session. I ended up picking the Loss Prevention Officer as my first choice but the other options are still open

Some people must thrive off of workplace conflict. Foh with that ****
For sure man :smh: I remember when I use to work at the movies there was a whole group chat created just to start fights and get people fired and yada. I left a little bit after I got in some trouble but from what I've been hearing lately, it's still bs going on

Side note: 2 weeks ago this 60+ year old guy that worked there had said some sexual stuff to this underage girl and even though she reported him, it kind of blew over and nothing happened to his job. Last week he died

I'm getting that today. I'm in the business of solving problems, while the higher up is in the business of creating more problems, and not solving the current problems.

Insanity.. :rollin

Mental illness is as real as a heart attack, but in this day and age, it's consider a joke.
Why assume mental illnes?

Why not assume it's modern day nihilism. The general feeling that nothing matters or has intrinsic meaning or value any more?

I have a friend who has suicidal thoughts. Not because he is particularly unhappy or in a rough position. He simply doesn't see the point of living after he achieves what he sets out to do. He doesn't see life as having any inherent value. I suspect Bourdain was in a similar predicament. He couldn't figure out what his next move in life was, he had achieved what he set out to accomplish. With nothing left to live for (in his secular world view) he killed himself.

Oh my car, my car fam :frown: :frown: It has throw up on the passenger side from my girl and her sister :smh: I probably should’ve expected it but i have work in the morning and I’m too tired to take it to a car wash.

R.i.p to your friend.

Im no medical professional, nor a psych profession. But from expereince with people who have gone through mental illness. "Suicidal ideation" falls under mental illness, just as depression, psychosis etc....

You really have to know a person to know if they are dealing with depression or they are mentally checked out or ask them mental health questions like if they wanted to hurt themselves or others.

We're only human and we can only take so much mentally. But with proper awareness we can help each other of help ourselves if we seek it.

R.I.P Bourdain. Never really got into him. Was mostly growing up on Andrew Zimmerman
