So I jumpstarted my car in my driveway and kept it running for an hour and the exhaust started to smell like rotten eggs. Looked it up and it is probably hydrogen sulfide. I kept one of my room windows open which was next to the car. I wasnt in the room but I my cologne was. Is it safe to use?

DISCLAIMER: I'm an idiot.

It's probably fine. I highly doubt that whatever gases made their way into your room concentrated themselves in your cologne bottle enough to be harmful. Much of that gas probably diffused into the atmosphere and a negligible amount got into your room (assuming your car is in an open space).


Let your room air out though.
