The key to the Rubiks cube is that the middle squares of each side are in a fixed position. Since they don't move, you have to bring all the other colors matching that middle square to that side or you will never solve it.

Probably doesn't help on a digital model though.

I never solved a rubik's cube as a kid. I wasn't cool. I just peeled the stickers and re-arranged them to make it look like I did
