the thread about nothing...

@Tr1ll

 it took me a long while to see that side of wrestling too. I think the first example that made me take notice was the Godfather. I was like wtf? :| , that really turned me off from wrestling when I noticed that.
Not the Nation?
At that time, I had long since stopped watching wrestling. At that point, I haven't watched wrestling since I was a little kid. By the time the Godfather was brought to my attention, I was in HS. When I saw that clown all I did was :{ . The Nation sounds vaguely familiar to me, I think I might have to do some youtube research later.
They were like the Black Panthers of wrestling

Damn, that "Lie, Cheat, Steal" catchphrase. I see it now.

Eddie Guerrero was one of my favorites back, even after he left WCW.

Never made the connection. :{

. That pic def rings a bell. Didn't know that about Papa Shango and the Godfather. I had really stopped paying attention.

I hated that lie, cheat, steal line. My kids used to say that all the time when I worked in the after school program. I was clueless. Then it led to a John Cena monologue...

The worst Gimmick was Gangrel, Edge, Christian and the Vampire thing. Hated seeing it.

I know we're talking about the racist ones.

Speaking of the racist ones...

I was more shook when Benoit passed...

chris benoit actually lived about 10 minutes from my house, his death and that of his family hit us pretty hard as well.

Benoit's death was crazy, and so sudden, I remember being more disgusted than hurt.
Eddie's death hurt, especially after the raw in his memory.

I believe that if you can defeat death, the energy is reworked into the power of your life.
