Joint filing with our tax person for the first time ever. Wifey brings in a BINDER full of documents for the guy. Inheritance accounts. Life insurance policy’s. Work buyout. LLC’s in her name. Rental properties. Her income bumps us up into a high tax bracket.

I hand the dude my TWO documents like

Theoretically speaking, would standby flights be easier to get on now? Since more people are missing flights than ever, due to the TSA/ICE situation happening right now?

Or am I misunderstanding how standby works?

Reason I ask is my best friends wife is a flight attendant so can give friends and family free standby tickets to almost anywhere. He’s offered to take me places on a whim, but I never wanted to risk it if standby didn’t work out.

You still gotta go through TSA. Thats the hold up.

It’s a trade off. You have to wait and see if seat come open due to missed flights. But you’re literally waiting at the airport. On the other hand, when people miss flights it makes it harder for other standby travelers to get on because those people are rebooked to flights with open seats.
