Need help TAN.
Any way I try to simplify the question leaves out a lot of context, but I'm not trying to get too deep into the details.
Im probably (probably) overpaid for my current role...its a breeze. And I'm off super early in the day allowing me to be present for my family (and for me).
Offer for the new role isnt the number i wanted...and they're not budging. But its not that far off from the number that would have gotten me to say yes. More direct reports. More stressful situations. Working later in the day so won't be as present for my family. Its a hybrid position so I most likely won't be going into an office on Monday's and Fridays.
With all thar said, would yall turn down a role due to a 3 percent disagreement in salary?
I feel like I'd be petty as hell to turn down the opportunity over 3 percent. But I feel like they're being petty as hell for not budging off their offer.
I meant to respond to this but lifeWay more cons with the new position, but comes with a much needed pay raise.
I play single dad. And still would for the most part. Would just have to be available for the potential of more work calls post 3 p.m...that 3 - 5 time range, get kids home, get situated, etc...that will be the adjustment. And only a huge adjustment for 2 - 3 days a week when ill be in the office.
Already there...more reports though, which is part of the reason why I'm stuck on the value of me in that role.
Boff'um.
