the thread about nothing...

So find something else. No one forced these folks to apply to work there. I'd prefer my baristas a tad disgruntled as well knowing the quacks they gotta put up with. Out here serving the least profitable addicts and crying about it smh

I'm sorry but when I think of underpaid jobs this doesn't exactly rise to the top of the list

It’s their constitutional right.

you find somewhere else to get coffee or are you just crying to cry?
I'm not addicted to caffeine therefore I don't buy coffee. I'm just voicing my opinion about a story I saw in news sorry if it offended you.

Id love to work a unionized job too, not making coffee tho. Way better ways out here to capitalize on peoples addictions

I mean you’re closer to them than you are a ceo, just seems a little out of touch and for some reason they bothered you and caused you to come whine on nt about it.

If you get a union job be sure to go to the meetings, they might teach you a thing or two about solidarity.

Nah I wouldnt call knowing a 14 year old can do my job and opting not to ***** about it "out of touch.".

But it's clear where I've struck the nerve with you. Who wouldn't wanna be overpaid as most union workers are

I’m just saying you got a boot licker mindset.

I mean if be pissed too if I was making $10/hour and the new CEO is making $100 mil a year and commuting from the Bay area to Seattle on the companies dime. But that's just me.

Idk why people would be pissed about this. Every company has a CEO/founder whatever that is filthy rich and will travel on the companies dime. Why is this an issue? Thats what happens when youre an exec.

It wouldn’t be an issue if worker pay had kept up with inflation and productivity but it hasn’t all while ceo pay has sky rocketed.

They’ve always made a lot more than the worker but not as extreme. Not to mention workers not making enough money will be on government assistance so we’re subsidizing them through our taxes.

This one's a little different. I get that all CEOs and execs get drivers or company cars or whatever and they'll take the jet for business. This dude lives in the Bay area and takes the company jet, sometimes daily, for a meeting or two in Seattle and then flies back. Man couldn't even be bothered to move to the area for $100 mil a year. It's definitely OD and not the norm

I just gave the CEO of my company a tour and had to drive him around for like 5 hours. :lol

Dude flew commercial, we all make good money and benefits.

To my surprise no one even tried to kill him. What a concept you take care of people they won’t hate you.

Bro was cool, you don’t have to be a scum bag to run a company.

The "go find something else" or "no ones forcing them to be there" talk when it comes to strikes and unions is wild to me. There arent enough good paying jobs out there, thats the whole point.

Maintaining my Christmas custom of sharing "Christmas In Hollis" on online platforms. I will always love Run DMC for coming out with this enduring classic song.
