I’d like to say most aren’t being honest about who they’re actually voting for
In general, for regular everyday people. I agree.

I have a family member, (57 Married Female) that lives in a 700k home, hates how soft local jurisdictions are on crime, opposed Bidens loan forgiveness plan, despises Fare Evading on Metro, and has a list of other conservative views. But in the family group chat yesterday morning all she had to talk about was how conservatives let the country down.

I'm thinking to myself, and sidetexted someone else that also sees the pattern with a lot of older family members, "Damn near everything about you is conservative so why are you voting Dem outside of that being what we have traditionally done as black folks."

It's funny to see well off, older black folks move because they are only progressive in the fact that they are progressive in age. They don't like hearing about themselves.

I say all that to say that some folks gotta be lying.

Its not lying if you don't say anything. THAT's who you need to be looking at.

How do y'all handle LinkedIn spam? Do you maintain a LinkedIn account at all?
I never had a LinkedIn account prior to my current job (~2 years) but the amount of obnoxious recruiters is getting to a point where I kinda want to delete it.

I initially respond to most of them because it's probably best to build connections, especially with larger recruiters, but there's just too many of them now.
These people refuse to give up too. If I'm straight up ignoring your messages and calls 3 times, just ******* give up jesus christ

My profile is by no means anything special so I can only imagine the straight up harrassment anyone with a good amount of skills and prior experience gets.
I made sure there's a big "NOT INTERESTED IN OTHER JOB OPPORTUNITIES. DO NOT CONTACT." disclaimer when you open my page but it doesn't seem to matter whatsoever.

In the UK it's not a crime to fuel up and bounce without paying.

It absolutely is. It’s basic theft. Every gas station has cameras now and big signs saying they'll call the police and also pursue you for the money if you do that.

Hopefully the people in the story I posted stopped getting robbed then.

The police say it might not be a crime. The driver could be having a bad day or simply forgot. As a result there's not a lot of prosecution. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gpd2dpmrzo

Still not legal though - and they’ll still take you to court to get the money.

There’s a system in most places if you genuinely forgot your wallet or something - but the signs all say that you need to go in and tell them and provide id etc.
