You giving a lot of people a lot of credit. Messi was in Houston not too long ago and everyone except for the person that told me he was in town had no idea Messi was. If you have a hard time gauging how famous white people are, imagine white folks with black celebrities. Then add the fact that most white people know who he is. That’s rugby 7s - a shortened version of the game - sort of like 3x3 instead of basketball. They play tournaments of it so you can play multiple rounds all in a day - proper rugby is more like football in that they usually only play again a week later.
7s is tough to play - it’s not quite as physical as the regular game but because it’s played on a regular field there’s tons of running.
