the thread about nothing...

Haven't been in a bookshop for years, and I now know why
In department stores you could read as long as you want, I remember being a kid avoiding to stay with parents for the corvee, instead reading comics ^^

But today there was a magazine I did want to buy, so I went to one bookshop, hate this atmosphere. Unnatural.

Funny to buy a magazine with a lot of words when it's all about...

DOOM

Some things in life I'm supposed to have regrets but I have none, like haven't study a lot and having an alimentary job : whatever.
But I wish some day I'll be able to read more books, watch more movies, play more video games. These are the things I find important at this moment.
And for those who are into this having a family of course, trips etc.
But I couldn't see myself as a father yet (or ever), too selfish and narcissistic, it could change it though...
And not about trips. So what we have ? Sneakers ? Done. Clothes ? Done. So let's learn some ####
I was surprised as I even saw a magazine on Hitler and seemed interested by it (I never been that guy found of History). But I had no bag or anything else so I had difficulties to see myself in the streets with a magazine with this head on it, I must have checked the other side
About nazis, I'm now playing some quite recents Wolfenstein but it is nothing compared to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, this game has too many bugs that prevent to play in good conditions, and some moments are really hard, but what a game ! And it's 20 years old, amazing...

EDIT : And as my jacket was sensitive to water and I had a magazine in one hand and a hoodie in the other one an old lady asked me to open up her beer bottle, and when I quite said no due to this I think she even insulted me  Woman, be serious : too many people here and you're asking one with 2 hands already taken, you must be out of your mind, no more beer for this old lady  And don't forget this : when you're asking, we do not have to do it just because you ask for it, and if you act like #### just because we said no, we did make the good choice you piece of ####.

EDIT 2 : And I thought I would be untouchable with the demon slayer in front of people view :smh:
there are too many good things in life now to enjoy that we couldn't have when we were younger and it's a lot more open now. I remember back in the 80s when Japan couldn't even celebrate foreign holidays like Christmas and pretty much lights out in the evening.

also, I hear you about people that if they ask, they expect you to oblige immediately? it does seem to defeat the purpose of asking like having a choice to not having a choice. I guess they made it synonymous to people handing flyers on the street that it was necessary to take one even if you don't want to.

Exactly. And any time you hesitate they take advantage and disrespect, so you got to stay ready, because " if you stay ready you don't need to get ready " or something like that. Ready to tell them now and have a few words to tell why as the first to disturb you are the same to complain or get angry, I mean it's all about what they need, according to them, but they don't give a #### about people they're asking for. No respect.

I remember a nice situation, years ago a polite homeless was asking me for money, I said no politely too and he did appreciate this, I told him he showed respect so that's normal. In other words I don't care if you're rich or poor, being poor doesn't mean you have to be a piece of ####.

About times I gave something : 3 things to know, first : don't tell people good things you did, if you did it for good reasons, no one needs to know, because if you do tell them, it wouldn't be for good reasons. I said 3 things but let's just say it was 1, I'ld be okay with this. Just talk about your defaults because if you are as you said : you told them. And if you better than this, that's great. Just don't let others expect a lot. Good teasers don't mean good films.

Not sure if I've watched that one.. sounds familiar but if its anything like this I'm down lol. Its kind of like a warped ***Hunger Games at short.

Battle Royale I believe is the inspiration behind The Hunger Games. it is a japanese movie and pretty twisted imo as compared to the Hunger Games. problem with the Hunger Games is that it received the typical Hollywood makeover that made it too synthetic.

as far as the Squid Game synopsis is concerned, I don't believe it is somewhat like either films. for me, it's close to Van Damme's "HARD TARGET".

I just started watching it yesterday and immediately, Hard Target popped out immediately.

called in sick for today's work. my knees are shot and swollen. forgot to stretch and now felt like an old man suffering from arthritis. took some prescription, pain pills and supplements for the pain and inflammation. hopefully I'd be ready for Sunday's game. otherwise, I'd be out for injury. also, skipping my weight lifts for now till I recover.
