the thread about nothing...

was it a bone or fluid?

for me, they it was fluid and they had to dig into my bone with a huge epidural needle behind my knee. the pain practically reminded me of the gall bladder operation I had when I was a young adult when they administered a spinal anesthesia. they had to try 3 times to dig the damn thing behind my back and one of the nurses collapsed on the sheer horror they were witnessing.

as far as my biopsy went, they had to take out 5 samples which was practically beyond the typical pain threshold for a normal biopsy. normally, they would only take 1 sample as it can be painful. they asked my permission to do it since they want to make sure that the sample was enough for diagnosis and the chances of misdiagnosis was minimized.
I was limping after the procedure and couldn't walk the next day. it was horrible since they only administered a superficial numbing agent which practically didn't do anything during the procedure other than number the sensation of the skin. but the sensation of the needle hitting your bones was different, especially poking or punching thru it 5 times. was practically punching the pillow and gnashing my teeth while keeping my leg still during the procedure.

Behind the knee? Aww hell no. Your experience sounds 100x worse.

This was just on my lower back, it was pretty quick. After the lidocane, they said it was 2 parts, first part they use a needle to take the bone marrow out of the bone, when they actually look the marrow out it was a weird sensation and actually painful, made me flinch. The second part they drill into the bone and take the part out, thought that was gonna hurt but actually didnt. Doc said were gonna count to 10, 5-10 is where itll be uncomfortable. It really wasnt that bad though.

This was a few hours ago, my lower back is pretty sore. Gonna just lay down the rest of the day and chill.

In her asking how my hormone treatment has been going, Amy just asked me how many erections per day I get.:lol:
Even by her standards in our strange friendship, this conversation is a whole new level of weird

The context was that the doctors halted my injections for testosterone a while back to see if that treatment would kickstart a natural increased testosterone production without the injections.
I told Amy I felt like it’s not really working but that I’d need a blood test to get a better idea and the ‘experiment’ runs until November. Then she went straight to asking various sexual questions as a way of sort of measuring how the treatment was going.
Sidenote: I didn’t know the normal average amount of daily boners men get is 11  Sheesh that’s a lot

Reading this book called 'Dedicate' by Pete Davis. It talks about the benefits of committment. Whether it be to a person, place, cause, etc. Kinda mind blowing.
