the thread about nothing...

Do you guys always wake up minutes before your alarm goes off in the morning? Sometimes I like it because hearing that sound in the morning is mad annoying and I can turn it off before it happens
Yep. I think we all have an internal clock that lets us know when to get up after a while and I usually wake up 10 min before my alarm goes off. I like it because it takes a while for me to get out of bed and I get to prep my mind and body for it.

Played basketball today and boy was I winded. Lungs were burning like a ************ and I realized just how out of shape I am conditioning wise. I’m not fat or even remotely chubby but I may as well be with how hard it is for me to keep up. I just flat out don’t have that down yet and I’m not surprised as I’ve only been to the b-ball gym 3 times since my 8 year hiatus.

The 2 guys from the other team started to talk trash after making several 3 point shots well behind the arch. I have no problem conceding to that if they make them but I have a problem with them talking **** saying things like “you guys are taller than us and jump higher than us but you still can’t beat us”. I just know one thing....I don’t need to upgrade my skill set to take over the game. I can do that just with getting my conditioning back. I’ll be adding jogging/sprinting now during the week. I know it won’t be a fast result type of thing but I should be good to go in a month if I start that training of lungs 4 times a week. These dudes done started something they wish they’d left sleeping.

yea i find it weird i always wake up right before it goes off and then i turn the alarm off. Being able to do this is nice because when i do forget to set my clock i still wake up at the same time when it was going to go off.

last time i hooped after a looonng layoff, i was winded after a couple trips up and down the floor. i was dribbling the ball and wondering why my handles were so bad as well
sucks cause i got a bum left knee and plantar on right foot and can't work out as hard i want to

Oh man so true about the handles. I felt weird as hell dribbling down the court to where I had to look down at my hands because I didn’t feel the direction of the ball

Sucks about your injuries but you can slowly work on it to get it better. Do some bicycling to ease it into exercise and then start jogging on dirt/gravel once you feel it strong enough. Don’t run on concrete or outdoor basketball, the surface is too hard for your knee.
