the thread about nothing...

I don't see the appeal of porn conventions.

Sure I watch porn, but I wouldn't want to watch porn in public.
This reminds me when I saw an actress dancing at a strip club a few years back. Had a whole line of people paying for pics and autographs. Bartender asked why I wasn't interested and I just said I didn't see that point and rather spend my cash for her performance. Whats funny is once she hit the stage dudes didn't even care they rather take selfies with her in their phones

Aint been in a minute but the whole point for sneaker conventions for me was for come ups. Prices were much better in person since people didn't have to go through services or third parties. Its also a heaven for SB dunks

Morning Tan hope everyone has a great week

Lease is up for our place in DC. Landlord is trying to raise rent by $200 a month...I know it might seem petty but think im going to see if he would be ok with $150 raise instead of $200.
I don't see nothing petty with asking for a lower rate. If you've been there for a minute and you've been a good tenant, it doesn't hurt to try!

I wish I could downvote that Bart GIF

Sheesh! I was an apartment for 5 years and it would go up like 50-100 bucks every year.

eventually it got up there with how much a mortgage would cost me so I bought a house.

Yeah i am really kinda stuck right now. Me and the fiance love our place and we got a great deal. The sad part is i don't really think what he is asking is unreasonable. We are in the brightwood/takoma DC area. We have a 2 bed 1 bath upper part of a row home. It was $2300 a month and he is raising it to $2500 a month.

But he wants an 18 month lease. Which throws us because we are going to get married next year then want to start a family and buy a home. And we could like move back to bmore or a suburb and look at like $1800 ish a month and really try to save for 2 years. But we are really happy with our area and no one likes moving...add to that i have a broken collarbone and realistically couldn't move heavy objects. Seems like we are going to stay a lot out of convenience and ease.

One thing that doesn't get talked about enough is big time comedians having writers.

Joe Rogan be on that ****. From the what it looks like tho, comedians rather other comedians have writes than blatantly steal jokes. It's not like rap.

CA on fire

Getty fire making it rain ash here in SM

Gonna head home early, once traffic is down a bit at 10

It's been going on for quite some time now. Pryor had Mooney. Kevin Hart has a entire team full of writers, etc. Just wild to me how they go up there and deadass act like what they're talking about is their own experiences when they aren't. I'm sure when they first started they didn't have writers. So at what point, do they feel like, "aight I need a new perspective. Let me get someone else to write for me".

I don't really fault collaborators. one or two parties coming together to work on a project that may specifically come out under one man's name. that seems logical to me in fact. but a team full of writers seems excessive.

after trill posted that this is not happening clip, I went on a little mini YouTube standup run. I had seen both of the acts previously but seeing them back to back like that made me believe they had to be working together. Michael Che and Hannibal Burress have a near identical style and delivery.

Dave got Mooney too, but I've known this for quite sometime. Ain't nothing new to me.

Do the lease. Your health oughta be priority.
And nice neighborhood btw.
