Set up a 1:1 with the director of my department today. Told him I want to be transparent and explained why my title and pay should be higher (quality of work, credentials, market, etc). He completely agreed and is going to talk to HR and the CFO and get the wheels rolling. Should happen before end of year hopefully. Said regardless of timing he’ll try to get me a bump in salary while it happens. Told me he thought I was really great at the job and sees me managing everything eventually.

Felt good to get that off my chest. Been stressing about it for a few weeks now.

Congratulations. I’m contemplating a similar move myself in the upcoming days
