the thread about nothing...

can someone recommend a good hotel on the strip we’re looking for 2 matresses plus big enough room to party in if possible

Last time I stayed was Mandalay Bay but that was before the shooting . Was cool but it’s all the way at the end of the strip and Idk if I’d stay there again.

Time before that was MGM grand was nice . You really can’t go wrong where you stay on the strip (I think).

There’s a Vegas thread around here though , they’ll be able to help you

When I went to Vegas I stayed at Hooters which is just off the strip, across the street from MGM and next to the Tropicana. I'm sure I saved a few pennies by staying off of the strip.

The worst thing about new generation gaming is the download onto console times. I think I'd rather deal with in game loading times (which hasn't exactly gone away) as opposed to buying a game and waiting an hour for it to load up.

If blockbuster weekend rentals was still a thing it'd be a rip off since you'd spend half the time loading the game onto the console.

Before i was thinking about doing it for Spiderman, I wanted to upgrade the memory capacity so i was already looking at the pro as an option.

Sorry, I have no real information of value to add to your question.

That would be one of my main reasons too, the capacity, idk, I need to pick up Spiderman too

Not a problem. I gotta go tv shopping. Gotta be ready for before NBA season starts.
Last time i went tv shopping ingot burnt bad...

This was when people were realizing no one wants to watch a 3d movie at home but was still equipped as a feature on new tv's and smart Tv's were just rolling out as well. 4k had JUST came out as well...pricing on it was ridiculous and we'll outside of my range.

We picked up a 60 inch Samsung smart tv for over a stack at Best Buy...2 years later a comparable tv at 55 inches in size was going for like 600. I'm still pissed about that burn.

I was considering buying the ps4 for just spider man and as a blue ray player but I'm kinda on the fence because I'm not a real gamer

But

I was thinking about it and I haven't played a basketball video game since NBA 2k2 lol
I'm sure there have been insane advancements and 2k19 would probably blow my mind.

Oh man...yeah do yourself a favor and pick it up.

2k (and the show now that I'm back on PlayStation...had the 360 for last gen) are the only games I buy tbh. I don't have much time to play now a days but it's a nice break when I can turn it on.

Anyone mess with VR? Why hasn’t it taken off like it seemed poised to. I did Google Carboard and the prn was pretty amazing. Can only imagine how great it must look on a real VR headset

I had a samsung 3D TV. The tv was awesome but me and my roomates was like we wanted to buy the best tv on the market and we got it.

Its was novelty/gimmicky. I knew 3D tv's was gonna fail cause you had wear glasses and the media content was limited.

We drop over 2 grand including with the sound bar.

Next tv i drop it has to be in the elite echolon but only for my living room my bed room ill get whatever decent.

But this is technology anything 1st gen will always be expensive and down the road the tech becomes cheaper.

Yeah, same thing I was on when I got the Samsung. Was stupid though...won't do it again. (As in won't buy 1st gen tech with 1st gen pricing).

The one time I tried it in store, it was too amazing for me. Literally can be lost in it.

I played my friend's PlayStation VR one time. The thing is the headset is hot and heavy

I have a weird invention I feel will come true in the future, now that we’re talking about TV’s

Think of a soundbar like form, that would sit on a tv stand, and it projects the screen up, it’ll look like a floaty effect, I can picture it but can’t describe it

I get what you're saying but I think it'll be more about 3D hologram kind of deal vs just a 2d projection.

Useless novelty/gimmick anything you have to attach to your body like vr glasses will never take off on the consumer level. Cause the regular average joe/jane doesn't see the vaule of vr tech especially when you have to charge it, set it up etc.

Great for entertainment enthusiasts but not for the average person imo.
