the thread about nothing...

Why the **** every time I go use theburinal here the damn floor is covered in piss? Do I work with 2nd graders? These are grown ****ing men...what the hell

Any older men? You'll know the struggle when you're in you 60-70s.

Maybe you could tell them to stop doing that? In a more constructive way obviously. You can also let them (and your boss) know that you will handle some of their day to day duties while away but you will not be working/starting/finishing any projects for them?
Give them a shock...that's the only way for it to stop.

Tough to really do that though if you truly care about the company's best interests. But you gotta shape up their attitude as well.

My main point I guess is don't do something to them that you hate having done to you. That only makes it worse...not better.
Yeah, I have to be delicate with my approach because I'm the newest one on the team and the other two have been working here for years.

They're set in their ways and every time I've seen them challenged about their day-to-day process they get all sensitive and petty. It's funny and annoying at the same time.

Probably the same dudes who bare butt when sitting on the toilet seat lol

Their sensitivity has little to do with proper work etitique. So they can be in their feelings...discuss it with the manager...let's see how he likes hearing about projects being left behind for others to complete while they're on vaca.

And if the boss is okay with that, then you have a bigger issue.

Back to school next week smh

decided to chill for a month of no work/school and my body clock is messed up usually sleeps at 5 am then wake up at 3 pm for a month and I prob have an 8:30 am class smh how can I readjust my sleeping pattern
Take afternoon classess...

I ordered some shirts from footpatrol when they had their sale mid-June. Emailing back and forth with them, still no delivery. I used to dig the shop but I won't **** with them ever again

I dunno. This is a fine line. I don't know why you couldn't catch up on your sleep this weekend. There could have been legitimately important things you could not avoid doing.

But if you just partied instead of taking care of yourself to be prepared for the following work week, calling off is kind of a ****ty thing to do.

If you have PTO, you should be able to use it whenever. That's the whole purpose of PTO, emphasis in the "personal"

If the main purpose of a weekend is to "rest" just so u can go back to work, then I guess you have no intentions to living your life to the fullest.

No you can live your life to the fullest...and also be responsible enough to be prepared for the work week.

Yes, if you have PTO you can and should use it. Just not sure I agree with this "I'm proud to have called off" mentality...especially when it's cuz you lived it up on the weekend. In that situation, if you had big weekend plans, you can make the job aware that you'll be using the PTO prior to the day of.

That's not what I would call a "mental health" day. It wasn't stress that kept you out...or depression...or something that feels like a good enough reason to miss work. You need to recover from the weekend...which you had the right to do...but you did leave your teammates out to dry cuz you lived it up over the weekend...if that's what happened

my leave was scheduled, but thats besides the overall point.

so if someone just doesnt feel like going to work today and they call off, they should feel ashamed about it? thats the problem with America and the work culture here. its a dishonor to take a day off for yourself if its not health related. but to you, its considered a "proud to have took off" mentality. the avg American only gets 10 pto days out of 260 weekdays, i hope you realize that.

Bro...i get 0 with my current company. If I call off, it's out of my vacation time OR I don't get paid.

But yeah, if you called off simply because you had too much fun over the weekend then yes you should not be proud of that. You should feel the need to be more responsible and not leave your teammates out to dry.

If you are truly stressed and the pressures of work are building up, then that's different. If you scheduled your personal day that is different.

Calling off just cuz? Nah...not something to be proud of.

And this doesn't even crack top 100 things wrong with America...

idk about your company, but with mine PTO/vacation/sick leave are the same exact thing. also, idk about your colleagues, but where I am, your colleagues dont give a **** about you.
