He shouldn't have to apologize for anything. Draymond Green has a very punchable faceCharles Barkley on Draymond Green comment: 'I wasn't literally going to fight an NBA player'
TNT analyst Charles Barkley apologized Wednesday for his comments regarding Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.
"I said something that I shouldn't have said," Barkley said on Waddle & Silvy on ESPN 1000 in Chicago. "I want to be man enough to apologize. I was 100 percent wrong."
During the Game 2 telecast on TNT on Tuesday night, Barkley said, "I just want somebody to punch him in the face," as the broadcast crew watched highlights of Green and Pelicans point guard Rajon Rondo get in each other's face at the close of the first half.
Draymond responds to Barkley's remark
Draymond Green had straightforward thoughts when informed of Charles Barkley's comments on national television Tuesday night.
"A lot of guys talk on TV," Green said after the game, when he learned of Barkley's comments. "If you feel that strongly about something, he's even seen me a million times, then punch me in my face when you see me. If you're not going to punch me in my face when you see me, then shut up."
Barkley clarified his comments Wednesday.
"I wasn't literally going to fight an NBA player," he said. "If he took it like that, I apologize."
He went on to say that he "probably said the same thing about Dennis Rodman, but I thought I actually did punch him when he played."
Barkley, who called Green "annoying," connected him with players such as Rodman and Bill Laimbeer, who were teammates with the Detroit Pistons for seven seasons in the late 1980s and early '90s.
"Those guys who are irritants who are all good players, but they can be annoying at times," Barkley said. "But like I said, I was wrong when I said it, and I shouldn't have said it."
Barkley said he found Green, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, annoying because teams don't guard him, and then when Green makes a 3, he yells at the opposing coach.

Big Difference between Charles Barkley and Draymond green, Rodman, Detroit bad boys, MJ. Is those guys have championship rings. Smh for Charles saying some dumb ish like that. Basketball is also psychological game as well. Getting into competitors head is a skill to any aspect of the game.

It's so dumb how everyone has to apologize now. Fights in the NBA are so lame now, well "fights". Two opposing players stare at each other and everyone rushes over. Give me Malice in the Palace 2 lolBarkley forgot he was retired for a second and he was speaking as a player, I completely agree though, said the same **** when he kept kicking Adams in the nuts. EDIT: I missed the rest of your post, Draymond can win 5 championships and he'll still be half the player Barkley was. Another difference between them is the pistons and chuck actually threw hands on the court multiple times

You cant be ******* up fans, but I'm ALL for dudes shooting the fade when necessary. Worst part of social media is this sense that you can say what you want about someone specifically but if they approach you then they're the bad guy. Yeah he forgot he was retired, I saw it live and you can tell he was having flashbacks to his playing days. My mom has mad records and my grandma loves martial arts entertainmentDon't get me wrong I know Draymond green is a scum, but Charles should have some respect for himself by not saying ish like that in that stage of his life. But it's Charles he has no filter to his mouth. The pistons threw hands on everyone in the league during their dynasty.
Dang your folks must be old school. I gotta see might just get seven since she has a 4S.
