the thread about nothing...

I was only in san diego long enough to visit Barnes and Noble and SeaWorld, but damn, if my experience was any indication there seems to be a heavy Filipino population there?

I swear to you that afternoon 1 out of every 2 ppl I saw at SeaWorld was Filipino

Their delegation is strong out there. I enjoyed living there when I wasn't on deployment.

I was sick and tired of Sea World by the time me and my family moved there, because there is a Sea World/Fiesta Texas not far from the city that me and my wife are from so we would go there a lot. So when we moved to SD where there is a heavy military concentration we would get in for free or extremely discounted, especially on the 4th of July, so by that time I have come to hate Sea World. And the Del Mar Fair.

Yeah SD has lots of Filipinos. Like dude said above because it's a Navy city they are everywhere. If I could move to any other major city it'd be SD. I love being out there.

Where you from in Texas? I used to go to Fiesta Texas all the time when I was a kid

What did you get and how much was it? Thinking about using that next time I get delivery. Tired of ordering Chinese and Pizza when I get delivery

I loved living there, I didn't even mind the traffic or anything, but it is just too damn expensive, cost of living is too high. When I retire from the Navy I'm going to have to live in Texas, where the cost of living and property is lower. Preferably San Antonio or DFW.

you gotta get carne asada fries out there. I don't remember the name but it's the place that has a barrel for their drive thru. Top 5 Carne Asada fries that I've ever had. Also, if you do go there you gotta get their adobado burrito :smokin

Damn I miss taco shops in SD :smh:

Also there's a lil boba shop in National city that sells Bulgogi Fries you gotta try that spot if you like KBBQ and get their boba over there too. Spot is legit.
Are you referring to Ice Box?

Considering to make the hour drive to check this place out lol.

Yessir. That is the spot thank you. Honestly the fries are legit and the boba is good. Plus you can choose exactly which one you want or throw all the slushes in together. I'd say it's worth it. Now if you have a bunch of things on your agenda then I'd say just squeeze it in depending on where you go in SD.
