A cow has to become pregnant to produce milk.....immediately after giving birth its calf is taken away so they can save all the milk.
If the calf is a boy he will grow up to get slaughtered of course. A girl will have the same fate as the mother.

So basically we are taking away the process of a mammal raising its seed just so we can drink something we dont even need.

No other mammal drinks another mammals milk.

I'm not sure that's exactly how the process works with the calf. Maybe on large corporate farms. I'm also probably taking your last line too literal, but other animals on the farm drink dairy milk.

I've actually been around farms and you're right that some do treat cows really well but for the most part not so much
