Man one night a long time ago a chick broke my heart so I got myself pissed drunk at the bar. Was at the lirr at 4am or whatever and it looked like a while till my next train. Complete stranger walks up to me and says do you want me to give you a ride home.

If I was sober I would've been like nah but all judgment was off so I said yea. Followed him to an unmarked car and he gave me a lift all the way to long Island.

I proceeded to just tell him everything about me and this girl I crushed on. Damn near my whole story of me and her.

And he was good and he made a lot of correct guesses about me and her.

I was like 'damn you must hear a lot of stories in this car' and he laughed 'you wouldn't believe the half of it'

Turns out a lot of drunk ppl get stuck at the lirr alone during odd hours and he made it a business of picking them up and giving them rides. He charged me something crazy for the lift home. Like 100 plus (keep in mind I was drunk)

Dude's probably out of a business cuz of Uber now lol

When I was staying in Central Cali for a minute a cab driver I knew got killed by 2 teenagers for a gang initiation. He got slumped making a late night pick up on a dead end street. Takes heart to drive the graveyard shift.
