My parents and wife's parents didn't really officially meet until after we got engaged.
Crazy thing was, my Dad grew up in a province in the Philippines and my wife's dad grew up two blocks away. Crazy thing is they both knew the neighborhood from end to end but never met or crossed paths with eachother.
Small world indeed.

When i was little my dad gave me some euros from europe.
I etched my initials into one and drilled a hole in it to wear as a necklace.
Few years later i was at the beach and somehow it got ripped off and went into the atlantic ocean.
About 14 years later i took a vacation to italy.
I was eating at a small restaurant in florence and the guy gave me change back.
The euro with my initials was in there with the hole in it.
And the guy that gave me the change was my dad.

When I was 16 I went to Mexico. As I was unloading my stuff I heard my name being yelled, I looked and it was my friend's neighbor from a block away. She was leaving as I was coming. I still trip out to this day.
