the thread about nothing...

Her older sister Myla went back and saw her. She was talking to Amira and holding her hand. She knows she's sleeping but I wonder how she will do once she realizes that her baby sister isn't coming home. :-(

Update for today:

They will turn Amira's machine off tomorrow afternoon because her mom Tanaia, my cousin, and Amira's dad Paul have decided to donate some of Amira's viable organs. The doctors have to run a final test and contact the families that will receive her organs. They will harvest her kidneys, heart, and liver.

We all got to go back and say our final goodbyes. My aunt Terri, maternal grandmother, is basically having a nervous breakdown. My aunt is usually over dramatic when it comes to times of crisis but this time she is really losing it. When my mom tried to get her to leave the room so that the doctors can do what they need to do, she kept saying that she will wake up and it was her weekend to have the grandkids. Eventually the nurses had to get her out of there.

Tomorrow will be tough.

Thank you NT for the well wishes. Me and my family appreciate it. It's so hard to see a little 4 year old on a hospital bed and not able to do anything to help her.
Stuff like this is extremely tragic. Luckily you all got to say your final goodbyes, which is a very important thing for the ones grieving. Again, I'm really sorry for your loss.

Take solace that although your niece is gone... There will be little children that saved by your loss...
