Nice. Is he already in? And....Care to show me what you have planned for him as far as cardio goes?
Not sure if he's "in", but he has to do this "training/school" in January that I guess will determine that.
He sprained his ACL a few weeks back. So now I have him doing a lot of agility stuff (agility ladder, hurdles, resisted running, ect.) and focusing on A LOT of hip/core strength. My reasoning is that there is a lot of running and changing directions with alternating terrain (swamps and mountain) so you need the core strength to change directions so it wont put pressure on the knees and lower back area.
Running on the beach, up and down hills, ect. will all be good to help train.
Honestly, from what I understand I think the running part is easy. (I'm sure you will do fine) I just think the the mental aspect is going to determine how well you do.
