A little cheat for free donuts I found
Tap Homer to open up his task menu then tap him 10 times and you'll get 10 free donuts and the Jedediah Springfield statue (if you didn't have it already)

You have to build Moe's in order to get Moe...Once you trigger a quest for Moe, then you will get Marge.

He's part of today's update. But he only prompts you to buy donuts, basically get Christmas homer, Santa Village, and the Holiday tree for 200 donuts.

So, there's a player on the EA forums that saw the raw update files for the game. He predicted that Gil Gunderson would be an added character to the game, before it actually happened. I just got Gil today.
He also stated that the Burns Manor (comes with Smithers), Chief Wiggum's house (possibly with Ralph?), Ninja Homer, and Snake Whacking Day will be a part of the future updates.
Take it for what its worth, but I'm excited for the Burns Manor!

make homer play with his mypad and as he does so keep clicking him repeatedly. It will unlock the statue and reward you with donuts.
Ralph! this will be cool. I feel like I need to redo the layout of my entire town with all these new buildings.

You guys have a weird progression of quests....how you got santas little helper and no Moe's or Marge?...
Anyways, I'm nearing the end of all regular and Xmas quest....just stacking up to buy the family practice which is 160k...after that is the hospital....and by them I should have SLH also....I didn't get Gill because I've had Santa's village since the beginning of the update.

Christmas tasks are independent from the main tasks. None of the other characters are required for the Christmas tasks.
