Tbh I stopped looking after I noticed there wasn't an NES, but there is a Genesis(the OG with the headphone jack) and a PS5 in the lower right hand corner. Lol and NO ONE had a Neo Geo.

Even the rich kids in my school didn't have Neo Geos. I guess adults with well paying jobs may have been its target audience.

Man there was one dude in my school that had one but he was always up on tech stuff and games. Had a hacked PSP with tons of games and everything back then

One thing we all got in common is we ALL grew up with someone that LIED about having a Neo-Geo. I had the luxury to have known THREE of them.

People that lied about having certain Video Games were funny.

I had one dude tell me he had the SNES version of Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition (Which he called "Street Fighter INITIALS) the day after SF2 was released on the SNES.

He was basically like, "Yea I got this new SF game from Japan that lets you play with all the bosses." But every time I tried to go over there to play it or asked him to bring it to my house he had some made up excuse.

I grew up in a predominantly poor neighborhood. So no one had on.

Closest I seen was when I was 18 and a kid I met through a friend had a Neo Geo CD.

But that wasn’t the same. The delta in cost of the CD to cart was massive.

I ended up getting one in my 20s as the system was dying (around 2002-2003). Copped SNK vs Capcom brand new.

Still regret selling it and the collection for a loss.

Some kid at my elementary was a pathological liar on stuff like this. Said he had a Neo Geo but if you asked to play he'd say "well it's not working right now" or "my parents limit my game time". He also claimed to have the version of NBA Jam that included MJ and said he had got it from one of the "insiders" lol.

My original copy of TMB stopped loading so had to get a replacement. Feels so good having this again.
