The only good thing about going to the laundromat with my mom was the sf2 arcade. Guile all day

Too bad EA butchered it on the 360 with the stupid DJ scratch special move, then put it in the grave. All time fighting RPG, good story too
Can everybody tell their story of how they discovered MK and/or SF?I miss the days when SF and MK at the arcades was LIT..I wouldn't dare play anyone there lol
I think the biggest disappointment of my childhood was these two games never coming to home systems.
That is true, but I still wanted access to play them.Looking back, I'm glad they never made it consoles during that time. Think about how bad the snes/genesis ports would be? :x

TMNT The Arcade was a decent port to the NES, so maybe it wouldn't have been that bad. Who knows.
Glad I can enjoy it now.
Same with
I used to only play fighting games at arcades against people I knew. Those random people that come up when you're running solo can be savages. Not fun when they got a nearly full bar and you just lost every round with an audience behind you.
Running The Simpsons or X-Men with a group was always a blast though.
I remember one time I beat like four five computer opponents in Tekken and then some guy comes along and beat me handidly lol. I was not happy.. Do miss the days of arcades being big. SF2 was what started it all for me.
I remember seeing Street Fighter II at every laundromat, bodega, pizza place and bowling alley.
There's a laundromat around here that have an X-Men vs SF machine lol

Street Fighter: I used to take Kung-FU from my Uncle in Forestville, MD. There was a Laundry Mat that me and my father used to go to that was on the way. On Saturday Classes, we would stop there. One day, while in there, I saw this fighting game. I saw a skinny brown skinned dude fighting this big strong white dude with a high top. There were Elephants around making noise and I was captivated by the stage music. (Which is why I still love Dhalsim's theme til this day).
So I sat and watched the DEMO mode play of this game for a few minutes, seeing all of the different characters.
I was intrigued. I went to school the next day and started telling everybody about it.
So yea, that is how I was introduced to Street Fighter 2: World Warriors.
I almost bought the xman arcade machine also. There are ways to play it now isn't there. ?
Street fighter 2 turbo on sega and street fight alpha 2 on saturn was my ish
First played Street Fighter II Turbo on SNES
Mom rented a SNES and SF II Turbo from a movie rental place.
