The RETRO Gaming Thread!

Grabbed the PS2 Blockbuster case from a yard sale, nothing too crazy but I love random stuff like that. Got the sega CD from an auction, here’s to hoping it works

Wait the kingdoms of Saudi Arabia :lol What is this Embracer group all over again?

I’d have a better chance creating a knockoff :lol

SNK Corporation is now almost entirely owned by Electronic Gaming Development Company (EGDC), a subsidiary of the MiSK Foundation, which is in turn owned by the Saudi crown prince's foundation. EGDC holds 96.18% of SNK's shares.

Fatal Fury Children of the Wolves has a lot of controversy due to their involvement especially throwing in several real world guest characters.

But think about it…Battle Arena Toshinden Versus Samurai Showdown or Last Blade?

I went to another spot called YESTERcades over the weekend here in NJ. There’s a few locations scattered around the area so imma try & go to each one this Summer lol.

Came across Spider-Man the Arcade by SEGA from 1991. I hasn’t played the cabinet of this game since the early 2000s at a rest stop on the NJ turnpike.

So cool to see this cabinet up close again. I remember the few times I went to Sunrise theatre in LI back in the 90s they had this game there & I would stay on it until it was time to go lol

Did Spider-Man Arcade also had a 3 players cabinet as well? Can’t remember

Maybe you could reach out to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and request they come out with a sequel lol. We just got a new Fatal Fury after so many years.

We got a new Toshinden in like 2009 or so on Wii. It wasn't anything memorable, but this was the first 3D fighter that I ever saw in Magazines. Finally got it in 2003 and my brother and I played it like it was 1995. The only real issue with this game is it had sequels that didn't upgrade anything. Not graphics, not fighting, not engine, etc. Wrong era with the jumps that VF1 to 2 to 3 made and same with Tekken 1 through 3, they didn't stand a chance.

I picked up some more Wii stuff today at $2 each game. They also had a bagged mess of wires and Wii controllers at $3. I took a chance scoopping it up and it turned to be 2 Wii controllers, 4 nunchucks, a sensor bar and Apple phone charger chords. Glad I'm able to get this stuff cheap right now.

Edit: Just added two more games. They were half off so why not scoop.

Have yall seen this?

Was just watching this a few weeks back. Great time capsule with snapshots of making of NBA Jam, Mortal Kombat, Narc and a few others. Really enjoyed this one and it brought back so many memories, my parents didn't want grade school me anywhere near MK but the game was undeniable and odds are you were able to play it at your local arcade or you had a friend with the game on SNES (grey blood smh) or Genesis.
