I can remember 8th grade jr. high English class talking with my friends about the upcoming console. We all thought the name PlayStation was a bit odd. I didn’t think it would be better than Genesis or SNES

I remember being on the fence about whether to choose a Sega Saturn or Playstation back in the day. That $299 price tag certainly make the choice a lot easier than the $399 for a Saturn.
It took me a good few weeks before I could actually afford a game after I got my PS1, but I had a great time with the demo disk. Jumping Flash, Toshinden, Wipeout and some Extreme sports type of game. I remember watching the full motion video for Tekken 1 and Philosoma and thinking it can't get any better then this
NBA Jam and Mortal Kombat 3 were my first games. Warhawk was my first original Playstation game.
