The RETRO Gaming Thread!

It was the pinnacle of 2D gameplay thanks to all of those Nintendo, Capcom, and Konami classics.

I think the sad thing about the Saturn was it was a 2D beast but all we ever got were those Capcom 2D gems (minus SF3). The Safeway Select knock off platformers and Zelda's were no bueno.

Same here, my parents got it for my Xmas gift the year it dropped. I also remember being hyped for the DKC release after watching that VHS promo vid and playing it once at a friend's house, later received it that Xmas.
I got mines in 1995.

Just finished a Super Metroid run on my SNES Classic. Still a great game.

May do Super Mario World or A Link to the Past next. Swear I used to know these games forwards and backwards when I was a kid.

Just finished link to the past on switch a couple weeks ago. I remembered too much, it was too easy.

I’m grinding through ocarina of time right now on switch. Water temple WAY harder than I remember. I musta had a Nintendo guide when it came out. No way 13 year old me was getting through this **** on my own pre-internet :rollin
