I highly doubt that that is possible.Anyone know if there will be a way to place friends into groups or such? I can't imagine having to go down a list.

Xbox One will act as a media server and play audio CDs HD
By Timothy J. Seppala posted Nov 1st, 2013 at 5:21 PM 494
The Xbox One will stream media from your home network and play audio CDs, Microsoft tells Penny Arcade Report. In that way, the One is much like the Xbox 360. When it comes to MP3 playback, however, it's a little trickier. The Xbox One is a Play To device that supports Redmond's PC and mobile ecosystem, but not much else. This comes just days after Sony released its massive FAQ that said, among other things, that the PlayStation 4 wouldn't do any of the above. If you're looking for a new do-all device for your A/V rack, the Xbox One could be it.
Waits for tired 720p jokes.
MP3's > Superior multiplatform/ 1st party games.
$ony doesn't support mp3 playbck right out the box.
Meh..who cares. Simple update in the future will fix the mp3 issue. I'm not one to stream mp3s to my tv though so to each his own.

But you can use music unlimited right out the box.
...seems legit.
I'd assume most likely.
Question to those getting both consoles. You're getting PS+ and Live?
Again..don't care. I use my gaming consoles to play games and watch streaming video secondary. As long as both of those are intact...don't care. I have other more specialized toys for when I wish to listen to music.

Supposedly $ony is already working on an update that will allow mp3 playback, so was potential copyright infringement issuses really the reason why it's not being released with the system right out the gate?Only thing I even care about in this situation is the MP3 playback. I have absolutely no intention of using Music Unlimited, and I actually play music that I have on my PS3 frequently when playing it. I get where they would be coming from in terms of avoiding any issues with copyright infringement and trying to push Music Unlimited, but I don't remember hearing about them catching heat for that feature on the PS3, so it should be fine.
As mentioned, it's just an update away from being fixed so it's not that serious.MP3 Playback = Files could be from anywhere = Potential Copyright Infringement issues.$ony doesn't support mp3 playbck right out the box.

Music Unlimited = Sony's service, streams music, fully legal
From a business standpoint it makes perfect sense. Thankfully Sony is smart enough to have their ear directly to their support base as well.
I wasn't asking if you cared.Again..don't care. I use my gaming consoles to play games and watch streaming video secondary. As long as both of those are intact...don't care. I have other more specialized toys for when I wish to listen to music.
