The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Judging by what Carver posted, it looks like the boss battle early in the game and the final boss battle will have the same choreographed animations. Either way, can't wait to play it.

So you have to play 10-20 hours for the real game to start? You don't see the problem with that? And what more is there to do once you get to that point? Grind the same missions more, but now there are 2 raids you can grind?

explain to me please.

I'm saying tho. He basicly said you have to beat a game to judge it. Naaa b I played that game for a week when I got my ps4. Got my character to level 18. Game is suppppeeeeerrrrr boring.

So you see screens from a youtube video entitled final boss fight and decide to just post em up without warning or explanation?

I don't understand.
screens that show they're using the same QTE and cinematic in chapter 4 and final boss.

You were doing it wrong from the jump if it takes you that long to get to level 20, but that is besides the point of this

Like I stated, this game is obviously not for you. Hell, no game is truly for everyone anyways.

If you do not want to do missions/bounties/raids and grind to get materials to level up armor/weapons, make your character better and participate in other events that the game has, then you will find anything wrong with it to not like it.

As I said, I played WoW and had over 100 DAYS in game played. This is about an 1/8th of that in scale and is not as bad as most of you portray it. Raids in WoW required 40 players and you would go a month or 2 hoping for your class armor to drop, and then hoping that you are in a position to bid/win the armor piece out of the others in the raid of your like class.

Say one boss drops gloves for classes....you will kill him and he might drop 4 gloves....but there are 8 various classes in the raid. Some might have 2-3 of the same class and might not have one that week for your class. If it is for your class, there was something called DKP (dragon killing points). Your attendance and killing certain bosses would net you more DKP. You save these points to "buy" your pieces when they drop. To be fully geared out in that game took quite a long time.

This is more of a grind than Destiny in every way and should be, but I have seen players go into a Destiny raid and walk out with every class armor piece that they need and a weapon or 2. This happens from time to time, but on the flipside, you can go a few weeks and not get something you need as well. I have 2 Warlocks that I raid with every week and even running 2 weekly, it took about 4-5 weeks before I even got 1 chest piece to drop for them in the latest raid. I still have only had 1 helmet drop for them also. It happens like that though and it is random as intended.

Also in WoW, you have to get to level 60 before you can even consider doing a 40-man raid, and even then, you have to grind it out to get the proper weapons and armor before you can jump into the raids. That doesn't touch on the armor crafting, weapons crafting, jewel making, alchemy (potions and buffs) and everything else that you had to do besides from raiding. You can't just log in, raid for an hour and be done with that game. You might have to sit in an area and kill the same mobs over and over again to get the proper material to make something of a higher rank to sell or use for yourself.

Again, not everyone is going to enjoy grinding out gear or missions all the time, and even more are not going to be all about RNG and how random drops are. They want "if I kill this, then X will drop 100% of the time" and this is not the case in this game or most other MMOs for that part. That is what makes certain pieces held in higher regards with the players because they are powerful and not everyone can get them.

You guys realize that it's a CG trailer right? There's no real gameplay... Wait to see the game in action before you ask it to be ported over.

Everyone saw the original Dissida announcement got hyped and then when people saw the gameplay and it dropped it only just sold OK.

Again, you stopped playing during the leveling of your character.

You didn't play PvP, do a single strike, raid or timed event within the game, but you are going to sit here and critique it "thoroughly" like you have is what I am saying.

It is your opinion on how the game plays though, but it is not really valid since you have not played all it has to offer, and you do not like the fact that you had/have to get to a certain level before you can do something else. Again, it is an MMO hybrid and it took this aspect from those games. Not everyone will like that method, so of course you do not like it, but because you don't does not mean that the game is trash.

There's a big difference between Vanilla WoW and Destiny. Vanilla WoW was actually fun and had deep addictive gameplay. Destiny is a long grind that doesn't really even reward you for being a top tier player because of how their RNG system is setup.

It doesn't take long to get them to 20, less than a day. The game has a story is just not crazy captivating. There is a lot wrong with Destiny but it's not as bad as yall make it seem.

Bro I might cop it right now but all the talk here got me scared lol
The reviews drop tomorrow so we'll see.

For me, I wanted this game the moment I seen the reveal trailer. I don't think I'm as nitpicky as some others in here who critique games. I either like a game or I don't! If it ends up being a dud, I'll just trade it in at BB (GCU member now

), get $40+ back, take the $20 loss and move on to something else.

Vanilla WoW, with no PVP reward system I am guessing you are saying as well right? You were rewarded with having raid gear and nobody else did. Destiny could not be like that and survive because they tried to cater to casual players along with serious gamers. That and the amount of exploits the players find in this game is pretty impressive

Sadly, I don't know if there will be a console game that has the scale that WoW did/does. That game really was the game changer when it came out.

The only thing as far as rewarding the top tier players in Destiny they need to address is if someone gets #1 on the winning team in PvP, the bad player with a 0.4 k/d should not have a chance at a legendary or exotic or anything at all for that matter. Top 2 on winning team and the #1 on the losing team should each have a chance at an drops, with the #1 on the winning team with the highest % chance at something.

That's that MMO talk. My brother always tells me that Final Fantasy XIV doesn't start until you hit level 50

Destiny 2 will be what everyone thought Destiny would be.

I don't think we would be so sensitive to a screen shot that doesn't destroy the story or anything but yall carry on.

Because if there's one thing we do know, it's that nobody is sensitive to stuff I post in the xbone thread.

" HALO 5 FINAL BOSS" screen cap. Yeah, huge fits would be thrown.

I am going to get the game now man. I was thinking just like you. No sense to gameshare a 1 player game, after I beat it it will just take up space on my hard drive. Ill give quick feedback if that is ok later tonight.
