The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Started playing that Persona 4G again after mentioning it here.  I really enjoy the Vita, such an underrated device.  Looking forward to copping that Freedom Wars soon.

Anyone else copping this Legend of Korra game today?  I just started watching the show, and i'm excited to play, but i dont wanna play the game until i get caught up in the cartoon.  I can't have the game spoiling the show for me.

Plants vs Zombies 20 bucks...is it worth it
I bought this for $30 and I really enjoy it. I don't see myself reselling it anytime soon.

Do you like light humor?

Do you like class based online only games?

I'd reccomend watching this online match to get a feel for the multiplayer.

There's quite a bit of depth to the multiplayer.

The game features a cooperative mode and four competitive multiplayer modes. Three different modified versions of the competitive modes also exist:
  • Garden Ops: A cooperative mode where up to four players take control of each of the plants defending a garden through ten zombie waves, with the fifth and tenth waves being boss waves.
  • Welcome Mat: A playlist consisting of Team Vanquish featuring one map and no customization. It is aimed towards new players but it is available regardless of rank.
  • Team Vanquish: A team deathmatch variant, where two teams represent plants and zombies.
  • Vanquish Confirmed: A game mode where players must collect orbs from fallen opponents to receive credit. This mode shares the concept with the "Kill Confirmed" mode from the Call of Duty series
  • Gardens and Graveyards: A game mode where players either capture (as zombies) or defend (as plants) various objectives. It is a parody of the Conquest and Rush modes from the Battlefield series.
  • Gnome Bomb: A game mode where players attempt to secure a bomb (strapped to the back of a hapless gnome) and detonate at various bases. It is similar to Obliteration mode from Battlefield 4.
  • Classic Team Vanquish: Team Vanquish with no customization.
  • Classic Gardens and Graveyards: Gardens and Graveyards with no customization.
  • Mixed Mode: A playlist where each game mode is used interchangeably. It will be one mode with either zombies or plants. Then the next mode played right after will be the same mode along with the same map. However, the player will be using the opposite character team from before. Using the opposite character team does not happen all the time. After two matches of the same mode are complete, the other mode mentioned will do the same action as described. Before the "Tactical Taco Party Pack" update, this mode only supported Team Vanquish and Gardens and Graveyards, following it though, Gnome Bomb, Vanquish Confirmed, and eventually Suburbination were added.
  • Suburbination: A domination variant, where the objective is to capture three areas, A, B, and C in the map.
  • Suburbination Crash Course: A domination variant except only in the map 'Crash Course' (A new map that was added in the Suburbination DLC).
  • Taco Bandits: A capture the flag variant, which leaves the zombies to attack Crazy Dave's taco stand steal a taco and return it to a UFO.
Is there a YouTube app for the PS4?
Not yet.

Who else on Shadow of Mordor? I impulse purchased it after a night of drinking :lol
I'm digging it but it's a little harder than I thought. Can't just go in like Assassin's Creed and string together 20 hit combos. I keep getting washed and the War Chiefs and Captains are getting stronger.

I have it too. I really like the combat. I got washed by a bunch of captains. I set my target for a captain. While I'm fighting him, a captain pops up. While I'm fighting both of them, another captain pops up. While I'm fighting the three of them, 4 more captains pop up...
Now the captain i targeted is running away, then i got murked. Fuuuu

Just got murder like 10 times in a row. All these low levels ranking up off me smh... AVENGE ME MY NT BRETHREN!!!!

Lord of the rings is pretty fun. It is pretty hard at the beginning but it gets a lot easier after you start unlocking some finishers.

Anybody plan on getting Lords of the Fallen? I was watching a guy stream it on twitch this morning and it looks hard as hell. A lot of people in the comments were comparing it to the Souls' series. I never played them so I can't say if they're comparable or not.

I looked at DA but I didn't care for the first too much. I recently just enrolled in A+, Network+ and Security+. Between work and class, I have 5-6 hours off every week day, I can only game on the weekends for now. The only games I'll be playing for a few months are CoD, Halo and a couple of other games that I can just pick up and play for a few hours. My 3DS will probably start getting a lot more love too

I understand the pick up and play. I am a full time intern and student and there are just certain games I can't play. I have to play games in 20 minute intervals here and there. That is the reason why I am only getting COD this year.

Yeah the struggle is real. I want to get into the IT field after I get out the Army. The classes are all paid for by the Army so I'm trying to set myself up for success. I should be done by May with all 6 classes. I can only imagine what my backlog will look like then

Worth buyin'?

Defintely. The driving, sense of speed, events, graphics and locations are all top notch. Really well done.

However, I'll say that the server issue has let them down. They got the driving part right but the club part with all the server issues has been a pain.

The tour campaign by itself is great but obviously a lot of the meat of the game is it's online components and they work half the time, so I'll say buy it but wait a couple of weeks before you do so you play the game how it was intended.

Now I know how you guys felt with BF4 :lol
