It has nothing to do with what the label says. Slime Flu was always intended to be a mixtape and if you recall it was originally supposed to come out back in April. That was until E1 said that they're willing to buy the project and put it in stores. At that point the project had to be changed so that all the songs can be cleared for retail. It was just about getting paid for something he was about to do for free. At the end of the day, regardless of if people buy it, the music will still get out. On top of all that, the songs that were originally going to be on Slime Flu, but couldn't due to clearances, will still be on the version hosted by Drama.Originally Posted by Ballerific703
This sh is getting annoying. This is just what the labels are saying now, it's not an album...it's a mixtape. This is so it has that "street appeal" and so it doesn't look like a flop. Obviously this is an album, all original beats..first actual hard copy in stores! How the ##%% is this not an album. Either way, I'm still copping it, been waiting on this for mad longOriginally Posted by FedExciter
Nah he been saying on twitter that this is not an album its a mixtape and that he doesnt like to use other peoples beats because at the end of the day he might could make a dollar off itOriginally Posted by Jumpman2314

But yea I heard Vado say in an interview that he's dropping a slime flu album followed up with a slime flu mixtape....
bout to light up and give this a listen or 2
How does anything you just typed make it any different? Drake put out a mixtape and then they sold it. Everyone is following the same pattern now. Drake, Waka Flocka Flame, Vado and a few others. You trying to tell me that he just handed in the mixtape? Nah, they rerecorded mad songs and made an album. That's all I'm saying, it's just corny. How is this NOT an album? Please someone explain to me what is the point of calling this a mixtape?Originally Posted by dunnyy

I was watchin' this XXL clip of Vado buying it and even he looked a lil shocked when it rang up for like $18.50Originally Posted by Ballerific703
Had to cop for $16 SMH, way too much for a CD. I was tight! Amazon had it for $18 and Target didn't even get it.

I feel bad cause I really wanted to support dude, but there's no way in hell I'm spending damn near 20 dollars on a CD...
Whoever distributed that done $*@$*+ him up...People don't even like to spend 10 dollars on a album...but 19 dollars for a mixtape???
What are you crazy...
dude is going to sell like 400 copies
This is a classic in my eyes but alot of others will say otherwise cause it has a 1990 *@! type of feel to it,
most of hiphop's classics came from da 90's so im in lock step with that....i wont say this persay is a classic, but its heavily in rotation at da minute
