At least the Warriors have some talented, athletic players.

Look at their roster and tell me any names that jump out to you other than Love, Jefferson, and MAYBE Gomes/Brewer.

The rest are rooks/dudes who ain't been no where and probably ain't going no where.

iwent back and it actually said he was out indefinitely...@!%% me.

The Warriors aren't a horrible team, but given the moves management has made, it's disappointing because we all know if the right decisions were madewe'd have a much better team.

Like right now, 715 has a better chance convincing Ska he's wrong than the Warriors have in making a championship.

715, I hope you're taking your meds everyday.

Randolph played like absolute crap today btw. I don't think I saw him score once and he turned the ball over everytime he attempted to bring it up thecourt. It was painful to watch.

came to work at 5am and saw my coworker there who i don't usually work with on the wednesdays. so i look in the schedule and it got me scheduled for5PM to 12AM. it's not my fault i assumed it was 5AM since my schedule for the week all started at 5AM. FML

Update: Jefferson did not attend Tuesday's preseason game due to his sore Achilles and due to flu-like symptoms. However, head coach Kurt Rambis says hebelieves Jefferson will be ready for the start of the regular season, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Good thing Warriors didn't trade for Bell:

[h5]Raja Bell | Bobcats[/h5]

Raja Bell has a torn ligament in his left wrist and could miss up to four months if he chooses to have surgery. Bell plans to seek a second opinion from a Chicago hand specialist on whether surgery is warranted.

"It's a decision I won't take lightly. I've only had six or seven hours to digest the latest diagnosis," Bell told The Charlotte Observer. "I know I've got a responsibility to the Bobcats."

The Bobcats are close to the luxury tax threshold so signing another player could be an issue.

Rambis said he expects Jefferson to play in the regular season opener, though his status for Friday's final exhibition is still unclear. This is wonderful news for anyone who drafted (or will draft) Jefferson this season, though it doesn't mean his tendinitis won't flare up again unexpectedly. Oct. 20 - 11:34 pm et

I finally got a team that works well for me on 2K10.

This one worked with Mikki Moore.
Then I traded CJ to Magic for Johnson + 1st.
I bought out Luke and Speedy's contracts.
Team is better defensively.
Ellis/Curry/Johnson
West/Morrow/Meeks
Azubuike
Randolph/Wright
Biedrins/Illgauskas/Gadzurik

I got Morrow in my starting lineup in 2k10.

Son be shooting lights out but allows 30ppg against opposing SGs

They got his game down to a T.
Warriors update: Randolph and Jackson sidelined, Watson is officially ahead of Curry (for now)
Posted by Tim Kawakami on October 21st, 2009 at 3:11 pm | Categorized as NBA, Warriors

This wasn't a good day to try to get a big-picture read on the Warriors' upcoming season (though that's why I went-to write a column for tomorrow's paper).

Oh well. There was too much happening, not a ton of it calming for the Warriors or their fans.

Don Nelson was back with the team after spending time in Southern California with his brother-in-law, who was in a serious motorcycle accident recently.

But…

* Anthony Randolph was not at practice after bruising his tailbone again and also possibly with some knee issues, Nelson said.

Randolph has been banged up for weeks and might need some time off, Nelson said, which could extend to and beyond Wednesday's regular-season opener.

* Stephen Jackson was not at practice after experiencing hamstring problems late in last night's game against the Lakers.

(* Shaun Pruitt was cut before practice to get the roster down to 15, but that's certainly not big news-his was the last unguaranteed contract left.)

* Add in continued ankle problems with Kelenna Azubuike and Brandan Wright's season-ending shoulder surgery and….

The Randolph/Jackson injuries led to an interesting Warriors "blue" or starting line-up today:

C Andris Biedrins

PF Corey Maggette (and it looked like he was banged on his right wrist at the end of practice and he was in serious pain, though, after a long pause, he kept playing)

SF Anthony Morrow

SG Monta Ellis

PG C.J. Watson.

I asked Nelson if this means Watson is definitely ahead of Stephen Curry, and Nelson shrugged his shoulders and said Watson is ahead, for now.

Nelson also grumbled that I should know he doesn't like young players-HE WAS JOKING, I'm sure.

I said: Other than DeMarcus Nelson, you mean.

Oh yes, more fun Nellie and me give-and-take. Better than TV. Nelson transcript plus a short interview transcript to Ellis to come after I write the column.

* Mikki Moore and Ronny Turiaf would be the power-forward alternates, if you're not dying to see Maggette to play 35 minutes at the "4″ spot.

* Nelson said that Jackson probably would be in the starting line-up for tomorrow's exhibition finale.

* Ellis said I shouldn't believe that the line-up today will be the starting line-up in a week. Mostly, Ellis suggested that Randolph and Jackson probably will be back fairly quickly.

Again, I'll supply the Ellis transcript in a big, but once again he was very mature and very clear on his thoughts. This really is a grown-up Monta.
