**The Official Ralph Lauren Polo Thread**

Ok, RL is not playing. They scrapped the fuzzy waste and cuffs, and kept the dual throat latch buckles...this year's sheerling is incredible when it comes to the design.
I have to see this in person, but it looks like the jacket is not as heavy as the previous versions.

:eek And the finished leather accents on the back of the snaps +the Moose Belt returns....vest looks amazing, but makes you not focus on the huge lack of down filling

I have to say that from a design aspect Fall 14' one my favorite RL collection(s). I've never had such a hard time narrowing down my wishlist.

Anyone know what they have in Woodbury? I know they have luxury outlet store, wonder what they have right now and the price range.

Ok here are my pics from my visit to the new flagship store in NYC on 5th Ave...I tried to take pics of items we (some) haven't seen

1. It's a very beautiful store, and all the salesperson are very polite and courteous, thou not all are quickly knowledgeable of what they carry via store vs online (I found that to be a negative) for example one person stated everything that's online, is pretty much in the store, which was untrue, I ask for several notable items online that were not in the store. No biggie at the end of the day, but good to know so I don't have to make a trip for nothing.

2. A salesperson stated it's the largest of all the flagship stores...hmm I'm still on the fence on that, to me it wasn't noticeably larger then the mansion, but the 5th ave store is easier to get to IMO vs the mansion via public transportation

3. The store is only BLUE label, with a small area dedicated to RLX, 3 floors all together, the main floor is men's and the 2nd and 3rd floors women (coffee shop lounge with free WiFi and misc. Ralph Lauren books on the 2nd floor)

4. Salesperson stated the store will have items exclusively for the store, but he couldn't necessarily point anything out specifically...from what I saw, online has more notable things then the store. But I did see some jackets (denim, Camo down), hats, bags and shirts not currently online (some are included in my pics) maybe online will get them later. Salesperson mentioned they have received all their fall merchandise, if so they're missing a lot of stuff that is online.

5. Lastly it was my intention to purchase a navy script fitted hat in size L, they sold out of that size in the store including the other flagships stores in the area, so they ordered one from the warehouse (online 19 left). They couldn't tell me if other retailers have them (Macy's, Blommies, Nordstorm...etc). I did pass by Bloomies and they didn't carry them. So other then Dillard's and 5th ave I personally don't know any other store carrying them, not to say Macys or Bloomies won't get them in the future.

Good summary, Middy.

I haven't bought an RL fitted hat in a while. I might have to go and check the sizing.

What about the patchwork beanie - did they have any of those?

I have to start making plans for whether to try to tap an online hook-up or not.

If that hat and the script fitteds are going to make it Macy's, I'll probably just wait it out and cop there when sales hit and I can stack rewards coupons and that jazz. I'm going to have to do some intel at 34th on day after work next week.

I was trying to make it out to Macy's as well today, but couldn't cause of parking rules (I had to move my car at 4pm for those new bus lane nonsense, not worth $115 ticket)
I certainly didn't mind waiting for sales and so forth, but as soon as they told me my size was sold out.....you know the rest, it's a little risky cause it's not adjustable, and someone's size could sell out easily in a particular color.
They did have the patchwork hat, but if didn't examine it
I always want a hookup, but sometimes especially when it comes to hats I'm quick on the draw

So I may move to Denver for a new job and I gotta decide between the bane coat or this one

I would choose the blue label military shearling bomber. The double breasted coat that you posted is released every year under RRL in various materials, belted or unbelted. I think the bomber is the more unique item, and the more went into the design it than the cookie cutter RRL jacket.

Great update pmiddy. Looking forward to hitting that whenever I make my first trip to NY.

Are selections at the outlet usually the same across all of them? Only two worth noting at the one nearby just outside of Toronto.

I probably will get the shearling over the ranch coat. That'll be my first piece of blue label in 3 years

Great pics Middy. Gonna try and swing by this week. That duffel bag looks like straight Rugby.

Funny thing about "Navajo Lounge". Supposedly there is a copyright for the word "Navajo". I was selling the Indian head shirt on eBay last year and got a message to take the listing down. The eBay member claimed he owned the copyright to that word and would get eBay to take down my listing if I didn't do it myself in x-amount of days. I looked the guy up and he had just joined eBay with less than 5 feedback so I ignored it. He was selling authentic Navajo denim not something. Days later my auction got pulled.

That duck sweater, that's at the outlet? Price?

Looking for some nice plaid Ralphy button ups this season.

I think it was in the '13 fall collection but there was this simple pullover with the little bear on the left breast but he had a James Bond suit on. My goodness....and I can't find it anywhere :o
