while on the subject of rougelike/lite games give downwell a shot. you can finish each run in 40 min or so and the game always goes on sale for a dollar or 2. worth a playthrough at least once.

I played about an hour of resident evil village pretty good game

RE8 has less scares than biohazard 7 according to the games director. studio made the choice after too many softies found 7 too scary to even play. Demo for 8 didn't win me over either. I'll wait for the sale.

The part where you get the key to your old house in the first stage. Walking through that house & that creepy space man had me anxious haha.
Off a fat dab hit didn't help much either lol.
