ext 12's MIGHT be dope if we get an 8 inspired denim colorwayNike could careless about quality leather at this point
They've been getting away with the pleather for years why change now
Of course unless it's to inflate prices, hence the coming of the remastered Jordan's
Honestly I do think we deserve better quality on the EXT's though
That stuff they put on the Denim XI's came out the box pre creased and bubbled up looking crazy, straight disrespectful
i live in miami, so there are no elements. i wasn't worried about the durability of the megafuse, because i doubt they're not going to hold up. no idea where you're getting that 12's wont be durable. i was commenting on the look, it's much cleaner and nicer looking on nsrl's than on the pe 12's.
Dude, all the materials Nike uses that isn't leather looks cheap. It's all synthetics, rubber, mesh, and plastic. These shoes are so expensive at retail, but in terms of quality are even cheaper than they used to be pre 2009. It's disgusting. $200 with little durability. And of course synthetics don't feel near as comfortable, and custom fit as leather after the mandatory break in period. Wearing these basketball shoes casually in the elements is ridiculous too. Prepare to have wet feet.
ext 12's MIGHT be dope if we get an 8 inspired denim colorway
they do mark up the price for good leather but i don't typically mind with the whole remastered jordans thing because i'd prefer paying more for better quality anyways.
colorways on ext's have had no effort lately. we need classics like the wheat azg's and denim 8's.Well they mark us up on EXT's for different materials but the Denim XI's weren't a higher quality material at all
I don't rock Jordan's anymore but the whole remastered thing is just another gimmick to increase the price if you ask me
If they use good leather and the quality is actually better great but this is long over do and shows you they weren't trying before
As far as Brons go though some good leather or suede on the upcoming EXT's would be appreciated
No, stop playing mental gymnastics to convince yourself these cheap ***, plastic synthetic shoes are quality products. They're not. What? In terms of durability synthetics >>> the "leather" that goes on shoes these days
Good post, bro. I think a compromise would be finding a way to use both leather, and synthetics but they've even avoided that the past several years as well. These shoes keep getting cheaper, and cheaper in terms of quality, but inflate in price. That is not good business. Most of us have resigned ourselves to the fact shoes crease, but if it can be avoided, or minimized, why the hell not?! The LeBron IX might be the most crease-resistant shoe I've ever owned, which is one reason that model stays looking so fresh, and why I like it so much.
I'm not saying leather shouldn't be used anymore, I'm just not a fan of the whole "leather good, plastic bad" debate. It's a black-and-white argument that's taken up far too much space on NT as far as I'm concerned.
I am sympathetic that you had bad experiences with your Kobe's and Run the One. I'm a thicker dude who plays forward, so I usually stay away from lighter, low-profile guard-type kicks, in part because of durability concerns.
truth
I don't care what material they use as long as it's not white mesh, I hate white mesh, there's no cleaning that ish
actually, the woven side panel on 9's gets really torn up.I guess you don't own the LeBron IX, X, and XI. They're some of the most durable shoes I've ever owned -- especially the IX and X. I've used them A LOT, and most of the wear they've incurred is superficial enough that I can get rid of it with a good wipe down when I take them off. They're left looking -- if not brand new -- then like they've only been worn a handful of times.
But because they rely on synthetic materials they must be "garbage" and "atrocious." Nothing like making wild, exaggerated generalizations when trying to make your point.
I have to laugh at 'Leather Lovers' who act like it's some sort of heaven-sent material that has no flaws. As if it doesn't stretch to the point it loses its shape and therefore it's supportiveness. As if it doesn't sometimes suffocate the foot to the point of creating excess sweat and odour. As if leather doesn't scuff and especially CREASE like no other material used in shoes. This is coming from someone who is over 30 who has owned plenty of classic leather-based Nikes.
It's 2014 and there are other ways to make shoes these days. If you don't accept that, then maybe kick it over to the Li Ning thread.
we care about creasing because nike shoes are made in china and they don't deliver the quality leather you'd find on a luxury shoe that creases naturally.
Who cares if a shoe creases?
I mean honestly, I never understood OCD people about shoes creasing. Shoes do that when worn, and especially when worn athletically. Even synthetic shoes crease. If you don't want a shoe to crease, leave them in the box pimp.
Plastic, or mesh shoes can develop odour too. Leather shoes can also be eaisly cleaned. What dumb arguments.
Synthetics not only look cheap, they are cheap. That's why Nike uses them. Inexpensive materials. Then on the same token raise the price on consumers. Anyone not copping these at disco at the Nike Outlet are pretty foolish with their stacks. Leather can still be used on shoes.
Nike is just too cheap, and too money hungry making bucks off knuckle head consumers of $200 pieces of plastic to bother going back to the material. That's the long and short of it.

i could care less about the lebron 12 delaying, but at LEAST let us do the id.. they could make it like the elite 10's where you had to wait before ordering.
fnl people said that they aren't expecting any lebron 12s to come out until february. They said that yesterday was the last day to turn them in back to Nike for "fixes"
Have you guys been told any different? I've heard some people say october, some people say january...
The Lebron XI, Lebron IX and the Lebron 8 V2 are cheaply made
