I liked them for both. I have a pair strictly for hooping. Was even able to go down a 1/2 size for a snug fit. Have a bunch of other pairs for casual use in my TTS.

  As for the Beats.....they are ok, but if you're gonna spend that much money on headphones...look elsewhere
